Amazing Ports

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Wind Surf

Wanted to see Sicily, great experience but though the ship could do with some updating, carpets need replacing. Bathrooms a very good design. Plenty of storage space in the cabin. Food very good. Restaurant management and staff with a few exceptions could do with additional training. The BBQ dinner was exceptional heaps of lobster tails and prawns. We booked early and no consideration was ...

We chose this trip as it went to ports that we had never been to before. Yes the Windsurf is old but the inside is really nice in every detail. The cabin is small compared to other cruises we have taken but there is adequate storage space for everything. The crew is truly wonderful. They know you name from the first day and what you liked and didn't like. Just loved everything. The trip skipped ...

Lovely Cruise - Crew, Itinerary, Food, Ship

Rome to Barcelona with stops in Corsica, Sardinia, Elba, Majorica - each island magical with history, ruins, great food, and friendly people. Our cabin was large with efficient storage and bed was very comfortable. We were mid-ship on lower level and felt no rocking at night. High recommend lower and mid-ship room. The food was delightful and customized as per diet restrictions. ...

Wonderful Despite A Rocky Start

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Star Legend

We chose this cruise for the Sicilian Splendors itinerary which also included Sorrento and Capri. We left several days early to stay in Positano and explore the Amalfi Coast prior to the cruise, then ended up with a day in Rome before returning home. We had a less than ideal experience on the Legend last year as one of the first few journeys with Windstar, and are happy to report a 180 degree ...

Choose because it's a small yacht. This cruise is great. Went to several ports Portoferraio , portofino, Monaco, Cannes, sanary sur mur, port vendres and Barcelona. The ship is refurbished and especially nice in public areas. The service and staff and officers were very professional and visible. The food from breakfast to dinner and yacht club choices were amazing. If you have ...

Amazing Windsurf and Sicily

Review for a Italy Cruise on Wind Surf

9 days "Sicily Splendors" was purchased in June 2016. We cruised on Windstar (Windsurf) before and knew about the warm crew approach, amazing food, long staying in the ports and all the other things smaller ships can offer. We were in the different parts of Italy many times but not in Sicily. So the decision was easy. Embarkation was smooth and easy. We were upgraded to a higher deck - ...

We were on the Star Pride sailing on October 7, 2016 from Civitavecchia to Portoferraio, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Nice (nice surprise port), Portofino, and Portovenere. I have sailed on Norwegian, Celebrity, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Costa. This was my first Windstar experience and it did not disappoint. The staff is truly unbelievable with their friendliness, attention to detail, and they ...

Wonderful cruise with a few drawbacks

We chose this cruise because of the small ship experience. We did not want to be on a big "floating city". We found Windstar to be a wonderful experience. the only thing I would change is for Windstar to allow complimentary internet and to be more reasonable about the exorbitant alcohol package. That said, we loved the experience! The staff is very welcoming. We highly recommend the laundry ...

Lovely Ship and a Great Itinerary

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Wind Surf

Our experience on Windstar Cruises was excellent. We had originally chosen an itinerary from Istanbul to Athens. However, Windstar pulled out of Istanbul after the attempted coup, and gave us the opportunity to stay with the ship's new itinerary or change. We chose to change to an earlier sail date from Rome to Venice, with stops in Montenegro, Croatia and Italy. Windstar was very responsive to ...

Star Legend in Europe for 16 Days

This is our first sailing on Windstar Cruises - we chose the Star Legen - a 212 passenger vessel previously owned by Seabourne - the renovations are great - all staterooms are oceanview large suites - a few with balconies. These are not typical balconies - the door slides open and lead to a French Balcoony - we loved it - you are seated on comfortable chairs and a sofa - (not plastic or ...
