Venice-to-Athens cruise, with stops in between, very enjoyable, Made a lot of sense to tack on a few days in Venice and Athens, at beginning and end.

We sailed for 10 days in the Greek Isles this year. This was our second time on the Wind Surf having gone 15 days from Venice to Barcelona in October 2018. With one exception the entire officer crew had changed from the previous cruise. This seems very unusual so not sure what is happening. A few of the service staff remained and remembered us. We cruised on Windsurf about 10 years ago and enjoyed it. This time was also good.
Food was generally very good and occasionally excellent - we had some vegetables which were not hot but usually OK.
Drinks are free if soft, including coffees, and quite expensive if they have alcohol.

Booked the Rome to Venice cruise on the recommendation of some friends and enjoyed it. Pre-cruise Windstar reps were readily available to answer questions with details and options. Europe is incredibly hot and crowded in the summer, although still crowded for this trip. Did notice a drop in service level compared to prior Windstar cruises. Looks like they are pinching pennies in certain areas. Definitely less focus on customer service from corporate side. Wanted to see Sicily, great experience but though the ship could do with some updating, carpets need replacing. Bathrooms a very good design. Plenty of storage space in the cabin. Food very good. Restaurant management and staff with a few exceptions could do with additional training. The BBQ dinner was exceptional heaps of lobster tails and prawns.
