We chose Windstar to cruise through the Greek Isles. From the beginning it seemed odd - we heard almost nothing from Windstar other than itinerary changes and information posted on My Windstar. When they removed our reservation from My Windstar about a week prior to sailing I had to call them to ask if the ship was still going and we were still on it. Apparently all reservations are removed in ...
7 nite Athens Greece, round trip, 9/19
Cruise was fine, not unpleasant. Friendly crew, outstanding food and service related to food. Cabin comfortable but really missed having a private veranda (and just for the record, had one of us been quarantined here, as we observed happening to someone we had met, the same size and layout would have made for a miserable experience). Simple ...
We waited for months for our amazing cruise adventure, and spent quite a bit more than the "average" cruise to experience Windstar. The ship was great, and the itinerary was as expected. The service, however, really suffered. I don't know who wrote the other review for our ship (July, 2019), but for the $ spent, the crew's attention to guests in the dining/bar area was inexperienced. Didn't ...
Wanted a smaller ship for the Greek Isles. The crew was great. The bar service was slow. They needed more bar staff. Meals were adequate. Went to the Crystal Restaurant our last night and my husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal on the deck. Also, the dinner seafood bar b que on deck was excellent. All excursions and guides were good, well organized and informative. Our room 211 was ...
Disappointing end of trip!! The Sea Breeze, the food and the crew were outstanding (Athens to Venice, October 2015) BUT a tour we took in Venice at the end of the trip, supposedly of the little canals, which we feel should have been cancelled due to the weather, time of year (high water levels) and horrible water taxi was not--we paid for one itinerary, got another (a tour of a market and talk ...
Both ship and it's several facilities were so not ready for this trip. We were told at booking that this ship which has recently been purchased from Seabourn Cruises had had a complete refit....just not so.
The swimming pool had rust surrounding all four walls and during the entire trip not one passenger was seen using it. The three jacuzzi pools were problematic as well. One never got hot enough ...
We chose this cruise line for two reasons: small ship and locations that we wanted to go to. The cruise starts in Athens and visits Greek Islands, and Turkish ports, ending at Istanbul. We got to all the ports that were planned and that part of the cruise worked well. The ship was small and that part worked well also. The problem is that the cruise line promotes itself as luxury, great service, ...
