Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (BX) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: September 2018
The cabin obviously needs some renovation. The bathroom had hair/dirt on the floor when we checked in, but it wasn't too bad. The drawers in the desk stuck a lot and were hard to open. It is an old ship that needs a little TLC.

It's a well-designed cabin with a king size bed, a desk, plenty of storage and a convenient small bathroom.

Cabin #328 was a nice, big cabin - with a comfortable sitting area and two bathrooms. The two picture windows shown on the website are actually two sets of two portholes - that look out into a deck light that is never turned off. Lots and lots of closets and drawers. The least enjoyable part of our cruise was actually our stateroom. We had a lovely double room-suite that was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Trouble is, we couldn't spend any real time reading and relaxing because there was a loud blower that ran constantly. We asked maintenance, and they said it couldn't be turned off, and other passengers mentioned similar situations in their staterooms and in staterooms on other Windstar ships. There were two thermostats in the room, but adjusting them made no impact on the actual climate in the room. There seemed to be a daytime temperature of too cold, and a night time temperature of too hot. One afternoon, we actually had to go on deck when we began shivering after an hour of reading in our lovely, but very much refrigerated, cabin. Read Less

Housekeeping was absolutely wonderful. The room was always spotless and the steward was personable and super friendly. He spoke to us everyday and asked how our day was. The room was very small (245 SF?) with two port hole windows. This ship does not have any balconies. We were on the second floor and it was pretty quite and no issues with the ship moving too much for us. The stand up shower is tiny and would be hard to navigate for overweight people. No tub. Small TV with limited cable. Tired linens and carpet. Also room service was very responsive and we enjoyed having breakfast in the room most days. Read Less

The cabin size was excellent. Bedding need replacement, getting old and lean one way. The bathroom was excellent with plenty of room for a cruise ship.
