This was a cruise of the Greek isles out of Athens. There were just 99 passengers on this cruise which meant you got to know just about everyone. There was one major problem during the cruise with most of the culinary staff testing positive for Covid the second day of the cruise. The restaurant were closed for the remainder of the cruise with a buffet set up and served in the main lobby of the ...

After planning for over 1 year I finally got to go on a Windstar cruise. I was expecting a lot and, for the most part it, met all expectations. Prior to going on the cruise my initial cruise was cancelled as the ship was chartered. They gave us a $500/pp credit and paid to change our airfare. I loved the small size of the ship. The cabin was small but functional. The bathroom had ...

My husband and I, and 2 other couples, chose this ship because we wanted a small ship. It was perfect in size...getting on and off ship was easy and quick. We were in cabin 240 which is at the very end of the hall. It proved to be a great room in the sense that there wasn't much foot traffic outside our door. The cabin had more than enough storage cabinets and plenty of under bed storage for ...

We took the 2 day pre-cruise option in Barcelona which really helped us adjust to the time zone. The Hotel Wilson was nice enough, had a little balcony and a small room and, on the fifth floor, we were not bothered by any street noise. Did a hop-on/off bus tour, a great way to get an overview of Barcelona in a small time frame. The Hotel Wilson is in a nice area though a woman staying at the ...

Cruised to Palma, Sardinia, Corsica, and Elba. OUTSTANDING Windstar-hosted complimentary shore excursion in Palma - wines, tapas, tour of museum - just great - highlight of the cruise! Not to be missed. Walked around on our own at the other ports and they were nice with good shuttles, dining, and shopping options. Didn't hear of any other outstanding tours and many were l-o-n-g. Great crew ...

I need to preface this with the fact it was our first cruise, we are no strangers to sailing, sea travel and world trAvel but we had not been on a cruise before. Therefore i did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions from small luxury cruise lines. Overall this was a good way to see many places without unpacking a bag continuously. The disappointment level was quite high. We were on a 6 ...

Could be your cruise of a lifetime, but I was expecting a bit more

Could be your cruise of a lifetime, but I was expecting a bit more My wife and I recently completed the "Riviera" cruise from Rome to Barcelona during the period of June 19 to 26, 2014. We were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and were doing the trip "first class". As such, we booked one of Wind Surf's suites -- cabin #501 -- at a total cost of $9,000. I can honestly say we have never ...
