Met or exceeded all expectations!
"On the Glacier Bay day, servers on Lido were overworked so there was a wait for our food, mostly because people moved around after ordering and it was difficult to find people. We also learned that drink and food orders come separately so we had to wait for one or the other - no big deal...."Read More

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

First time cruiser. We did a pile of research and determined that Mrs. Cruiser and I wanted to be on Princess on the southbound sailing from Whittier through the Alaska Glaciers (Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay). We also stopped at Sitka (Skagway was closed), Juneau, and Ketchikan. All in all, everything was done very well by Princess. Embarkation was very smooth, but in Whittier, there was no ...

Royal Princess was great - Weather not so great

My wife and I just returned from an 11 day cruise/tour on the Royal Princess. Our cruise/tour stated on land in Fairbanks and we stayed in the Princess Lodges during the land portion. We had hoped that going in July would have resulted in a cruise/tour with clear skies a warm days but that was not the case. For the most part it was cold and wet the majority of the time with temperatures in the ...

Disappointing

We chose this Cruisetour because we had a great experience when we went in 2014. This time we met with disappointment after disappointment! The price was $4,000 more than what we paid before; customer service all along the way was lacking; our hotel room at the Denali Princess resort was filthy; the food on the land portion was OK at best - with the exception of the Kenai Princess Lodge, where ...

Interesting - Good Ports! Great on board service! But a HOT MESS (MedallionNet - doesn’t work) - Peeping Steward.

Can I just start by questioning why Princess has the MedallionNet app and medallions? We have used these for a few years with Princess (March 2020, November 2021, February 2022, and now July 2022) and have had the same experience each time. From the pre boarding information never being retained. To the medallions and the internet rarely working on board the boats. If this were in its infancy ...

Alaska is amazingly BEAUTIFUL, Princess Cruises are good

-Don't try to take a quick inland tour before your cruise. Do what we did and take at least a week to see inland Alaska (ride the Wilderness Express on the Alaska Railroad! You will thank me later!) I recommend this be a separate vacation. -The Stewards/Stewardesses and Waiters/Waitresses are AMAZING! But just know ~$15/day gratuity will be charged to your room account daily. That is why ...

Friendly & helpful crew but probably won't do Princess again.

We've sailed on Princess twice now in 2022. In April we sailed on the Ruby and July the Royal. I've been wanting to do a Princess cruise for a while now. In the past we've sailed on Royal Caribbean 3 times, Norwegian once & Carnival once. We won't do a Carnival cruise again. We were on the Carnival Valor and that ship is laid out bad! Embarkation: On the Ruby it took 2 hours of standing ...

A BIG THANK YOU to Armando and Marfin in the Allegro restaurant who gave us the BEST service ever. We had the privilege of having Armando and Marfin serviced us for 6-delicious dinners. A BIG THANK YOU to Marlon our cabin Stewart who did an excellent job in maintaining our cabin throughout the cruise (L114 BF). A BIG THANK YOU to our head waiter at the Crown restaurant (June 8) whom ...

On Your own with COVID test at debarkation

After we had booked this cruise months in advance, we received disturbing news. We were informed that we were on our own at debarkation as far as COVID testing. Up until this notification we were led to believe testing would be provided before our flight home. Several hundred people had to scramble to get a covid test before we could fly home from Vancouver. The cruise would have been much more ...

Inadequate and incompetent staffing, false promises and mistreatment of passengers

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

Thought we would be on a well-prepared fun cruise which turned into a nightmare because of staff shortages, false promises made and changed every day, no workable plans for Covid outbreak and general mistreatment of infected patients. In my wife's room she could not get phones to dial. Room service for food was a joke. They were late getting meals, and the order was never correct. All the ...
