My husbands dream vacation has always been to go to Alaska. We finally saved enough money to go.
He is handicapped. We took a land & sea tour, May 14 – 26.
It all started with the molded wheel being totally broken off when we arrived at our room at the Denali Lodge. It’s very hard to break them off. I did go to the front desk & the baggage department to report it & advise them their ...
We picked the land and sea 11 day tour so we could appreciate Alaska's way of life as well as seeing animals in the wild and the ice glaciers. We accomplished everything we had wanted to see and do. Princess Cruise gave us a great experience on land and sea. They have their act together from the time you land and until you disembark. we purchased the meal ticket and saved a bundle. The food was ...
We were amazed at the size of the inner stateroom we had. On the 9th deck, it had a king sized bed, a full sized sofa (that could be converted to a double bed), 2 closets, 2 sets of drawers. So much room we even had a place to put our suitcases away and out of our paths. Since this was one of NCL's smaller ships the food choices, although good, were a little bit more limited but we each gained ...
Lots of things change....cabin was better. Roomier and comfortable. Quiet. Entertainment was fairly good. I liked the juggler best. The show Look of Love should have been called Look of Lust and I was embarrassed for my father who is very conservative. Variety show was good. Cruise Director was fun and did a lot of funny little games with late nighters. Drawbacks 1) buffet was horrible - crowded ...
We were a party of 6, travelling with our 90 year old mother in a wheelchair. Attentive, courteous and caring staff made our trip fairly smooth. Thanks to Ferdinand, who always remembered our names and kept our staterooms spotless. Mom had a balcony and that was the best place to be for glaciers, fjords and just sightseeing. Our server at dinners was exceptional. Melanie kept us well fed, ...
Background:
My husband and I are in our 50s. This was our first cruise on Princess. This was our first time doing an Alaskan itinerary. We've done four Carnival cruises and seven Norwegian (NCL) cruises.
We went on this cruise with friends who are in their 60s. This was their first time on Princess.
Pre-cruise:
We flew into Anchorage the day before the cruise. We stayed at the Microtel hotel. ...
We'll I think the weather help on this cruise, sunny on most days and hardly a drop of rain.
We had a 9:30 am from Ord direct to ANC that landed at 1:30 a little wait for the shuttle and a 1.5 hr ride we were on and in our room by 5pm. Getting on the the ship was pretty quick.
The ship was very clean and spotless and room C210 had a nice oversized balcony. There is plenty of hangers and closet ...
Let me start by saying this was our second trip to Alaska, last year we went on the Carnival Miracle and had a fabulous time. We had cruised before as well on Carnvial and Royal Carribean. This trip was nice but we expected an upgraded experience since Princess is supposed to be a step above Carnvial. I won't discuss the weather as it will never be the same and shouldn't be a decision if you ...
Just got home from Alaskan cruise on Norwegian Sun. Loved the cruise first and foremost. Had our very first balcony cabin and now are spoiled! We really thought the ship was very nice, it is an older ship but we felt it was very clean and well maintained. our balcony room was very spacious and out kids ocean view cabin was as well. In our cabin we had 2 separate 3 drawer dressers, also the closet ...
After spending our 25th wedding anniversary on The Pride Of America we were over the moon with this cruise so we thought why not go to Alaska and do the cruise back to Vancouver something on most peoples bucket list. Once again we had a balcony room and like the other ship it was the same inside but this is where it ends. The buffet restaurant was the first place we went to the first night for ...
