11 day Alaska Land/Sea Tour-Denali National Park
My significant other wanted to see Glacier Bay and this was the main reason we took this cruise along with seeing Denali. It was an omen-we got to OAK 2 1/2 hrs early. Gate change and we missed our flight. Someone was trying to tell us something! Unfortunately, we got booked on a later flight. Saw Denali....
Fast forward to the cruise-upon ...
This was our 10th cruise, first on HAL and first to Alaska. We are active 60+ "young adults". We traveled with my brother and his wife. Their first time on HAL and in Alaska. Trip started at Anchorage airport with bus to Westmark Hotel for a night. Would not stay there again. Think Motel 6. HAL should be ashamed to put customers up there. Next day took a bus to McKinley Resort Chalet at Denali. ...
My wife and I had scheduled a New Zealand cruise twice but the covid hoax messed it over two years in a row. As a result, we returned to Alaska for the third time.
It was actually preceeded by a fantastic Tripple Denali land tour.
The entire experience was great. Uniglobe Ohio Valley Travel put together the perfect vacation package.
If you can, do the glacier helicopter landing. Being on ...
We chose this cruise because of the dates. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The only fault we found was the condition of our cabin. The bathroom needed more attention to clean stains in the shower and toilet. There were stains on the bed cover so we just threw it off. We knew this was an older ship that had been refurbished. There was not enough late night entertainment. We are night people. ...
Picked up the 18 day Land and Sea Tour a few months ago. Great deal! We accepted a partially obstructed ocean view room. Just wanted to share what that means on deck 4. Overall we thought the experience was great. The land tour was wonderful. Just an FYI, the Holland Landmark Hotel is really showing it’s age It was clean but it is dated.
The ride from Denali and from Anchorage were the best. ...
This was a 'cruisetour' to Alaska, starting from Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. The land portion consisted of a first night in Anchorage (stay was at Princess' Captain Cook), second night at McKinley Princess Lodge and third and fourth nights at Denali Princess Lodge. Honestly the stay in Anchorage and McKinley was 'irrelevant' - meaning these were not worthy stops as far as interesting ...
My husband and I had cruised Alaska in 2019. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go again, but to do a land/sea tour. Holland American seem to have the best reputation for this. The land tour was great. But Holland America should be ashamed to put their guest in one of their motels, The Westmart in Anchorage that they use for their one night stay was dirty. The hotel was in need of updating ...
We chose Holland America because of their long experience in Alaska and were not disappointed. The scenery was as spectacular as we had hoped for and the ship docked in the most favourable berths at the three ports. The cruise director was both efficient and knowledgeable. The wildlife expert, Kurt, was highly approachable and available outside on the expansive open stern deck 9 whenever there ...
Terrible customer service on phone and many on ship. Older ship, needs updating. Room had an odor. Carpet, bedakirt and outlets outdated. It needs a good overhaul. Food subpar. Not much for gluten and dairy free options. They were not enthused about my food intolerances and ut ahowes. Karoke outdated. App disn't work half of my cruise. Wifi overall good but sometimes hard to connect to.. They ...
My husband and I went on this Alaska cruise as a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary (which occurred in 2020, so it was actually our 53rd). We have been on other cruise lines; this was our first with Princess. We were so impressed with our trip that we wanted to share this information.
Our stateroom was very clean and spacious....and we loved our balcony! Great to have the balcony ...
