8 adult family members traveling together on a cruise for the second time. The first was on the NCL Pride of America in 2015 to Hawaii.
For this trip, my mother-in-law selected the Princess "Voyage of the Glaciers" because of the option to add the land tour. 4 of the family did not take the land tour. My husband and in-laws and I added the 3 day extra option, and arrived in Fairbanks on ...
This was a great cruise with a wonderful itinerary. You must see Glacier Bay. It was wonderful to have a park ranger come on board during our cruising that day to talk about the area. I enjoyed the naturalist on board during the week who shared about the wildlife we were seeing. Our captain was wonderful- enthusiastic and friendly, which I believe made the staff happy and enthusiastic. We ...
This is a trip we would recommend to anyone. This was a 10 day with 3 day land beginning on 6/25 in Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. We booked through Costco which is always hassle free. The one thing we didn't realize is that virtually everything is Princess. The lodges, the motor coaches and even the railway. Everything was incredibly seamless and went like clockwork.
The Princess Lodges in ...
This cruise was for our 25th anniversary so we splurged a little more than we normally would have. We booked almost a year early to make sure we got the room we wanted (B416 mini-suite on the port forward facing bump-out). That may have led to the only "negative" we had on this cruise. When we booked there was no such thing as "Club Class" so when Club Class was announced I pretty much ignored ...
Studied the internet with reviews and decided on the Coral based on size, dining, and itinerary. This was our first cruise and it was for our 30th anniversary so it needed to be special. We did the Princess Transfer from the airport to Whittier. We left Anchorage around 12pm and we were on the ship in less than 2 hours.
Going in early May it was too icy to get close to the Hubbard Glacier. I ...
We did land tour at beginning, flew to Anchorage, stayed at Captain Cook Hotel, very comfortable, breakfast was very good, price was high for Bfast. We took Princess bus to Mt McKinley Princess Lodge, loved the lodge and the food and service was excellent at all restaurants. We saw Mt McKinley both days and had a great view on back deck also nice fire pits in the evening.I rate the rooms as average but ...
We picked the land and sea 11 day tour so we could appreciate Alaska's way of life as well as seeing animals in the wild and the ice glaciers. We accomplished everything we had wanted to see and do. Princess Cruise gave us a great experience on land and sea. They have their act together from the time you land and until you disembark. we purchased the meal ticket and saved a bundle. The food was ...
We have always wanted to see Alaska, especially the glaciers, so this seemed the perfect opportunity. Our embarkation went smoothie and we found our stateroom easily and we were thrilled with what we found. Unpacking was easy and there was room for everything. The shower was a bit small, but manageable. We had a balcony and it made the trip even better. Dinning was unbelievable. We were ...
I have cruised 4 times with Princess. Twice on the Grand, once on the Dawn and now the Coral. Although I've never been unhappy with any of the experiences aboard a Princess ship I must say the Coral experience was most certainly the best. I just returned from the Southbound Alaska sailing from Aug. 27th to September 3rd. My wife and I traveled along with one other couple. Both of us are in our ...
This was my second Alaskan cruisetour with Princess. This summer I brought my 10-year old nephew and we had a wonderful time. We began with a 6-night land tour. Our tour director, Greg, was great. He took care of everything (including dinner reservations) and ensured we all had a wonderful experience. Our fellow travelers were friendly and fun and by the time we exited the train in Whittier to ...
