I did the pre-cruise land tour to McKinley and Denali Lodges. Wonderful. No complaints there. Then we rode the train down to Whittier and boarded the ship. I loved the Grand. Everyone was super nice. I had no problems at all anywhere on the ship. The food and service in the dining rooms was great. The entertainment was wonderful. I saw a show where they danced and sang 50's music. They ...
We'll I think the weather help on this cruise, sunny on most days and hardly a drop of rain.
We had a 9:30 am from Ord direct to ANC that landed at 1:30 a little wait for the shuttle and a 1.5 hr ride we were on and in our room by 5pm. Getting on the the ship was pretty quick.
The ship was very clean and spotless and room C210 had a nice oversized balcony. There is plenty of hangers and closet ...
Lots of things change....cabin was better. Roomier and comfortable. Quiet. Entertainment was fairly good. I liked the juggler best. The show Look of Love should have been called Look of Lust and I was embarrassed for my father who is very conservative. Variety show was good. Cruise Director was fun and did a lot of funny little games with late nighters. Drawbacks 1) buffet was horrible - crowded ...
We were a party of 6, travelling with our 90 year old mother in a wheelchair. Attentive, courteous and caring staff made our trip fairly smooth. Thanks to Ferdinand, who always remembered our names and kept our staterooms spotless. Mom had a balcony and that was the best place to be for glaciers, fjords and just sightseeing. Our server at dinners was exceptional. Melanie kept us well fed, ...
We are retired professionals in our late 50's and early 60's and have been on 7 cruises mostly with RCI, Carnival and NCL. This was our first Princess cruise. We sailed the last southbound cruise of the season in mid September with relatives. One very important thing to note is that the ship does not depart from Anchorage. It sails from Whittier on Prince William Sound which is and hour and a half ...
Monday, Aug 25 We arrived about 11:35am to make the Whittier Tunnel (the schedule is online, easy to find it when googling). Our friend drove us around Whittier and we arrived about 1215 at the ship. We dropped off our luggage (luckily the baggage handlers there had staples to staple the baggage tags you print off and also had some to provide). Lines were pretty short (I’ve been in much longer) – ...
This was an epic 18 day adventure. Here is a link to the same review on the NCL forum that includes pics:

DW have sailed 20 some times on I believe all mainstream lines. This is I believe our 5th NCL, including Sky, Pearl, Dawn and an inaugural cruise to nowhere on the Breakaway last year.
July 22) – We got up at 3am EDT and flew American ...
I have been on roughly 30 cruises, this is my 10th Princess cruise and my 6th doing the inside passage....I live in Alaska so it is a very easy trip for me, and I get to see many friends in the 3 ports along the way. This is my first time on the Crown. On my New England cruise last year, I was very disappointed in the ship, the food and the staff.....so it was with a bit of trepidation that I did ...
Prior to cruising on the Coral Princess, we embarked on a 7 day land tour(also with Princess Tour T4AGB5).
We enjoyed every destination and activity including the additional excursions we booked. The Riverboat Discovery cruise was fantastic in that we saw so much in the Fairbanks area and started learning about the area, its' people, and cultures. The Alaska Salmon Bake was a wonderful meal. The ...
First Cruise: I did not understand how great the ship workers would be and how many hours they work. My hat is off to them. They made sure that we had a great time.
An Alaskan Cruise had been on the list for a long time. It did not disappoint although I have no other cruises to compare it to. Originally we were booked for a cruisetour through Princess. I only had three days so the only option was ...
