Island Princess July 11, 2012 Cruisetour Alaska We chose the three day on you own land tour. I got a really good deal on it! This was our 2nd cruise to Alaska as we did the Sea Princess inside Passage 3 years ago. We wanted to go back to see Denali though, and our cruise buddies were booked, so we joined them. Very worth it! We had a wonderful time. We started out in Fairbanks and ...

Our Alaska Adventure was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this vacation to Cruise Critic readers. We vacationed for 2 1/2 weeks in Alaska consisting of traveling by train (Alaska Railroad) and Cruise ship (Diamond Princess). I have been on over 25 cruises with well over 12 cruises on Royal Caribbean. We decided to devote future trips on Princess in light of (in our opinion) a ...

We just got back from our Alaskan adventure. It was an amazing trip to say the least. We did a 4-day land tour and then 7-day cruise from Whittier aboard the Coral Princess. For the land tour portion, we flew into Anchorage, spent one night at McKinley Lodge, & 2 nights at Denali Lodge. Try and provide some highlights. We flew Chicago to Dallas, Dallas to Anchorage (I know, South to go ...

Alaska Coral Princess CruiseTour June 13 25, 2012. This trip was a celebration of our 40th anniversary and a trip of a lifetime. Our flights in and back home were nightmares because of delays, but we did not let that mar our trip. We liked the size of the Coral Princess. We had been on a large Carnival ship for our first cruise and we seemed to spend a great deal of time walking from one ...

ANCHORAGE: First, please be there a day early if you are just doing the cruise. The ship leaves at 8pm, but you have to land at the airport by 4pm to make it thru the (one way every 30 minutes) tunnel. My sister was supposed to land at 1 pm, got delayed and landed at 6pm. She missed the ship and had to meet us 3 days later in Skagway. Now, Princess was wonderful. Helped her every step of the ...

Despite some issues and glitches along the way, we had a wonderful experience. Our group consisted of 9 Family and friends (2 children and 7 adults)who ranged in age from 9 to 59....We also had 2 balcony suites and 2 inside cabins. Our trip began with a very long flight into Anchorage and we were met at the airport by a Princess Rep. Because of such a late arrival, which was not planned ...

Let me start saying Alaska is a wonderful place, truly a must-see for anyone. The scenery is unparalleled, and the entire experience not to be missed in a lifetime. This is also a combo-review. I am reviewing the land tour as well as it was integral to our overall experience. DW and I are seasoned travelers, both in our late-50s. Little bumps in the road are generally part of the fun. We ...

We combined a six day Princess escorted landtour with a seven day cruise. The landtour was before the cruise, which we felt would be more relaxing. The landtour was wonderful, with stays in Fairbanks, Denali, and McKinley. The princess lodges were very comfortable and the food very good. Our tour guide (Liz Bell) was great and I highly recommend booking a landtour with her. The tours ...

We decided to start our trip out with a land tour and finish with an Glacier Bay Inside Passage southbound cruise that would end at Vancouver. We chose Princess Cruises because we had read many good reviews of their Alaska tours. Also after reading many reviews we were encouraged to book the land tour and ship and excursions ourselves. This saved some money and we were also able to customize ...

Having religiously read cruise critic for the past year preparing for this cruise, my husband and I felt well prepared to face the Alaskan weather in September. We flew to Anchorage and spent the first night in the airport Holiday Inn before transferring to the Captain Cook Hotel for the start of our land tour. The Captain Cook Hotel was very nice and we had a room on the 17th floor that ...
