The service was at best average, and the cabin was fairly dusty.

Cabin 4115
Dec 2014
Christmas Cruise 2014 By: Howiehal
When I booked, I was going to book an inside cabin as is our usual choice, but noticed that there were outside cabins with obstructed views available at the same price. They looked to be a bit larger and had a larger tub/shower and a full floor to ceiling window. We were in cabin 4115 with its magnificent view of lifeboat number 11. Hey, the window let in lots of light and it was a roomy cabin with lots of hanging and shelf storage space, a fridge, a seat for the dressing table, and a good size sofa in addition to the king size bed.

Cabin 4061
Dec 2014
OK, I wanted a low price cabin but not an inside one. This cabin has a floor to ceiling window, with a lifeboat right outside. You can see plenty of daylight and in a distance you can see the water. Its better than an inside cabin but of course not as good as a clear view. The Cabin shows its age. The sofa had dirt stains on it. The mattress on the bed was really the best thing about the room. I wish I could take it home! Where do they get these mattresses? The bathroom is nice and big and the shower is wonderful but the drains in both the bathtub and the sink were a problem. Also the Air Conditioning in the cabin was not working well the first night and after several calls, they did fix it the next day. There were only two wooden hangers, the rest were wire. Service in the cabin was fair to poor. The first day they never came at night to turn down the bed or bring the next days program. When I called the front desk she said "well they are busy, its embarkation day". One other day the same thing happened. I also called, they said "sorry we will bring you the program." I had asked for ice each day, they filled it once in the AM. by the evening it was all water and they did nothing about it. That is the kind of room service on this particular ship. I saw the cabin steward in person on the first day and I saw him on the last, I think. I had forgotten what he looked like.

Cabin 4096
Mar 2011
Westerdam 4096 was an obstructed view outside cabin. The price was right and we still could see the view through the windows of the lifeboat parked outside ourcabin, no problem. There were about 2 times the drawers and closet space than what we used with our 14-day belongings. This room is over the atrium and a bar so we could hear the music from about 6pm-10pm, and liked it although that may not be perfect for others. Other than that, we generally did not hear people in the adjacent rooms. 4096 is midship and 3 cabins from the stairwells and elevators. The elevators travelled quickly and there was rarely a bunch of people waiting, as we have expereienced on several other cruise lines.

Basically nice cabin. No drawer space. Small cramped area near closets and bathroom. Bathroom has bathtub and good working shower. Window is floor to ceiling. A/C worked well. Comfortable beds. Good cabin Steward, good service.
