This Ship is nice and well maintained. There always seemed to be someone out painting on the top decks and i never did see garbage or any dirty dishes about.
WARNING: We did have a huge setback however with Princess deciding to be the first ship to hook up to shore power in Norway. This caused our ship to have a power outage and fry some of the ships systems. As such we did not leave port ...
We have just returned from an 11 night port intensive Baltic cruise on Orchestra and I have to admit we went with limited expectations after reading previous reviews.
A little background and context first which I think is important when reading these reviews: We are in our early 50’s and have mainly sailed with Royal Caribbean, Princess and Oceania.
Our Diamond status on R.C. allowed us to ...
I chose this cruise because a group of girlfriends wanted the itinerary and the cruising dates fit our schedule. We prefer to travel when the crowds are starting to decrease in the early fall and the kids are starting back to school.
I highly recommend the upgraded dinning packages . The specialty restaurants are excellent but the main dining room is very average and the buffet/ cafeteria ...
We chose this cruise for its Baltic itinerary and decided to indulge in the Aurea experience. MSC ships (as seen on AWE Dream Cruises) are beautifully decorated and quite well maintained. Cabins were clean and well attended to. Most of the nightly shows were entertaining but there are few other interesting activities offered and the handful of movies available in your cabin cost 7e each.
If ...
Before I start my review, I’d like to share a little background about myself. I was born in Germany and lived there until I was 21, so I am well familiar with European customs etc.
My husband and I enjoy cruising. We have sailed on Royal, Disney, Carnival, Celebrity and Norwegian.
We chose the 7-Day Northern European Cruise on MSC Opera because of itinerary and price.
Embarkation and ...
We were travelling in family with 1 young children. On this cruise we embark in Rodstock, Germany.
The ship was found not as sumptuous or practical as Royal Caribbean ships but has interesting water park (this was our selling point). By the way the minimum height for the water slides is 40 inches except for the free-fall for which it is 48 inches (unlike advertise on their web-site). For ...
I took my adult children on cruise to see the Baltic area. This was our second Norwegian Cruise and we really enjoyed it. Getting onto the ship was easy. The majority of people get on at Copenhagen, which I recommend doing over warnemunde. The people getting on at warnemunde seem to be forgotten about and no special sailaway activities. There is plenty to do into the wee hours of the morning ...
The ship does not disappoint. The staff is incredible and the amenities are top notch. Our itinerary was great! The concierge and butler service made us feel like royalty. We had goodies in our room waiting for us every day! Our room was spotless every time we walked out, even if just for a moment! We really loved eating at all of the specialty restaurants, especially Cagneys! The ports were ...
We choose this cruise because of the ports and dates. We stayed in the Haven which is quite expensive but quite lovely.
We were not impressed with excursions. They were too expensive with too many people. I ended up cancelling two of our scheduled excursions and booking local tour guides at 2 ports. It was hot and many people were not dressed for walking on uneven streets. They would have on ...
Chose this cruise due to the inclusion of Oslo and our ability to embark in Berlin. We wanted to spend more time visiting Berlin than Copenhagen. With Berlin not being the primary starting point our embarkation was easy with so many less people.
The ports were amazing but several needed to be longer by several hours. We did several private tours as they were a much better deal tailored to ...
