Seasoned cruiser with 15+ cruises under my belt. Had a free cruise compliments of the RCL Casino, took the 4 day on from Galveston to Cozumel and back.
Room - we are balcony people usually, but we didn't win the Royal Up this time. We got an inside room. It was in an inside hallway -- and we LOVED the location. Near the elevator, but crazy quiet. No kids running back and forth, which was ...
This was my first cruise. I had a seasoned cruiser leading the way. She made all the reservations for our group of 7 girls. The food was good. Not blow your socks off amazing, but good. We ate dinner in the dining room each night and the Windjammer buffet every day for lunch. The buffet is huge, too many choices. So it's great for picky eaters. I thought the buffet food was good. My ONLY 2 issues ...
My husband and I are seasoned cruisers. We were taking our daughter and 12 year old granddaughter on their first cruise for this one and since we live in the Houston area, it was perfect going out of Galveston. The new RC terminal is beautiful. This is a good cruise for kids in the summer. They did a good job of providing many activities for all ages. My two biggest negatives were playing ...
This was our first cruise. We left out of NO on April 7, 2012 for 7 night Western Caribbean cruise. Sailed on Voyager of the Seas. Our embarkation was very smooth. We were sitting by the pool by 12:00. We did not get our luggage before dinner but we had packed our carryons accordingly. So much easier than boarding a plane. We were very impressed with RCI.
Visited Falmouth, Jamaica; Grand Cayman ...
Best Family Vacation Ever
Our family just returned from a New Orleans spring break cruise on the Voyager of the Seas. Collectively, our family decided this was our best cruise and vacation ever! The cruise was not without its problems, but we truly enjoyed our time on the ship
This is our 5th cruise on Royal Caribbean and our second on Voyager (previously in 2008 out of Galveston). Because ...
First, a little perspective. My wife and are in our mid 40s and not big partiers. We like to keep active. Keep that in mind while reading this review.
Embarkation. This was my first cruise out of New Orleans and I found this to be frustrating. There was a huge cheerleader competition going on the day we left and there were about a million people driving and walking around downtown, so it ...
For our vacation this year, my husband and I went on a double-date vacation with our 2 best friends, another married couple. This was our first time on a cruise, and overall, we had a great time. We had a room with a window, which was cool because we could wake up and see the ocean every morning. We slept great every night -- I'm not sure if it was the huge, comfy bed, or the gentle rocking of the ...
Please allow me to rate our experience:
1. Getting on board and situated was pretty much the same as all cruise lines we have gone on.
2. Food: Pretty average with the exception of a couple meals. Variety was also the same as most cruises.
3. On board activities: We thought that although RCCL had the climbing wall and ice rink, their activities for us were limited compared to other ...
We are first time cruisers so what we new about cruising was from the boards or from people who had already gone on cruises.
We arrived the day before and stayed at the JW Marriott. Hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful. Lots of activity downtown with the national championship football game and the Saints game that weekend.
Embarkation was pretty easy. We took a cab from ...
I'll be short and to the point. As long time RCCL cruisers, we noticed an improvment in quality over the past couple of years, so perhaps the "nickel and dime" cuts inplemented by RCCL over the last several years may have come to a halt, or at least slowed down. There's still no robes, bathroom amenities, Crown and Anchor parties skimpy, but overall, very good service and far better than ...
