I have just returned back from a 7 night South Pacific cruise onboard Voyager of the Seas, below is my somewhat lengthy review.
Embarkation
Embarkation in Sydney was very smooth. I arrived at the port at 1pm and was onboard by 1.30. The porters came straight up to the car boot to take our bags, so I go go straight through to checkin with no wait followed negligible wait for ...
So, where to start... I have a lot to say and struggled to find a review that covered my questions before we left so I'll probably have a lot to say here.
We are a married couple in our early 30's and travelled with a 27 year old mate. We go to bed at 10pm most night, work hard most of the time and go out in the city about twice a year. We are not really party people but enjoy having a good ...
For my first cruise the 13 night was a good length to find out what cruising is all about. I shared a promenade cabin with work mate. The cabin a good size for two older women and had a good view of the promenade for people watching without leaving the cabin, although we didn't have much time for this. The food was excellent with lots of choices, and lots of it from buffet style, formal dining, ...
General: Loved our cruise holiday, loved the room (Superior with Balcony –Deck 7 (room 7640), very happy with friendly helpful staff. Very pleased with amenities, 'cruise compass' newsletter communication (delivered during turndown service dinner time) and activities.
Apologies this review is a little all over the show, as I drafted it whilst cruising, jotting things as I thought of them! Feel ...
We all had fun and loved the great friendly service. The ship had a family ship vibe with kids, parents and grand parents all having fun. Wide range of activities.
traveled with our 9 year old daughter who loved the whole experience. she went to kids club every day. she would read all that was going on on the ship and plan her day making sure she could go to kids club at least onces as she has ...
First cruise for me, second (30 years apart) for my partner. We flew to Sydney the day before and stayed at the Megaboom Hotel, It was nice and handy. Boarding for us was 12-1pm, the lining up was probably the worst part of the whole cruise, but something you have to do. Cabin was a good size, big enough for us. We had a virtual window which wasn't working, but a call to service had it going in no ...
Sailed 01 November 2016 on a 7 day trip to Noumea. Embarked from Sydney. We found it a very organised setup with plenty of staff to give directions or answer queries.
Our cabin was a Junior Suite on Deck 9 with a lovely balcony. It was a pleasant, spacious room with plenty of storage and a good sized bathroom. It was kept tidy by a very friendly and hardworking steward who left fresh towels ...
Having previously sailed twice on Rhapsody of the Seas we thought we would give a larger ship a go. Certainly things get busy at popular times, but generally we didn't have any trouble doing any of the activities on board or getting around.
We managed to book one of the new Panoramic Oceanview rooms on Deck 12 which gave us a perfect view out over the hellipad. Our room attendant couldn't do ...
We booked this cruise because it visited Fiji, somewhere we hadn't been before. Voyager of the Seas is a lovely ship, well maintained, clean and spacious. However, we unwittingly chose a school holiday cruise so the ship was at 100%+ occupancy! But having said that, although bars and restaurants etc. were busy, we always found a seat wherever we wanted to be. We had a balcony cabin, #6218, on deck ...
We wanted to take our daughter her partner and their children on a cruise and the dates suited us. Overall it was a great choice and the ports of call were great. We were on early dining because of the children and our wait staff were fantastic especially with the little ones. Geronimo and Ting Ting were great. Our Cabin man was Eddy and once again just great. The ship itself was a bit big for my ...
