This was our third trip on voyager and we felt that due to the corona virus issues we should have been kept far more informed than we were. Seven sea days was a joke especially as the ship could have returned to Australian port prior to the 14 day self isolation bane was brought in. Our junior suite was certainly not what I would have called clean let alone sanitised. We regularly had no room ...
My Wife and I had time off organised and we hadn't been on a cruse since we were both 19, so this was our chance to to try cruising again.
Ports of call were out of Royal Caribbean's control, due to Covid-19. My major complaint is the up-selling that takes place as soon as your board the ship. We found the price of alcohol on a supposed duty free ship out of this world. I was drinking ...
As avid cruisers, we had a world trip organised from Feb-Oct 2020, which includes 7 cruises. We even started up our own blog for the trip thriftydrifting.com . A week before our first cruise was to depart our home in Fremantle, WA, the cruise was cancelled ( due to Covid19) , with everything going haywire quickly we had a few weeks up our sleeves so quickly booked in on back to back Cruises on ...
We really enjoyed the people we met.
The ship is fantastic, with a friendly crew. The shipboard experience was good. Lots to do, trivia, lectures, activities. The dinning was, as expected, very good. With lots of good choices meals and the buffets.
We were okay with the initial change in itinerary, adding two overnights in Vanuatu. We understood that we could not get off in Neumea because ...
For many years we have wanted to visit south pacific islands and had finally settled on a 14 night fiji and pacific islands. First of all, through no fault of RCL, the itinerary was changed due to the coronavirus the itinerary was changed. We had a rear facing junior suite which was spacious but dated with a limited view but was nice as a retreat when we didnt want to be beside the noisy pool ...
Staff aboard Voyager were great. We had a balcony cabin but even with the door locked the wind whistled through it, not a draught but just the noise.
Food was excellent and could not be faulted, along with the waiting staff. It is not the companies fault, but, we were most upset to find that the Island we most wanted to see, Mystery Island, had to be cancelled because of the Cyclone. Was not ...
This was our first cruise with our 3 children (14, 9 & 2.5)
Embarkation and disembarkation were swift and problem free.
If you love trivia - this is the boat for you. So much trivia was offered however you had to be at each venue at least 1/2hr before session to get a seat, in the end we gave up going.
Each show we attended in the The La Scala theatre was nearly empty as it is huge and ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to experience and compare it to Celebrity cruise line.
No quiet areas to escape the noise, curfew for children was midnight...arghh.
Kettle in the room was good, especially as coffee was pretty rubbish even if purchased.
You’ll need to request coffee sachets as they’re not provided routinely. Unfortunately it’s the cyclone season in March so it was ...
We sailed from Sydney on the Explorer two years ago circumnavigating New Zealand. That was such a fabulous cruise we came back to see some of the Pacific islands.
Firstly, I want to state that the Captain was fabulous. He made sure to thank his crew every day, which I had never heard another captain do so frequently,
The room attendant, Engel, was also the best I've experienced on any RC ...
We have been cruising for close to 20 years with this cruise being a big disappointment. First the good - the service was very good. Staff were friendly and attentive with good positive energy. Cabin attendant was excellent as was the Cafe and R-Bar staff. We had the dine-anytime with overall good service. We tried all the speciality restaurants and each one was very good - recommended.
And ...
