We chose this cruise because the timing was good, it ended up in LA where we could drive home to Phoenix and we needed 15 days to make Diamond level. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale 2 days ahead hoping to do some sightseeing but a cloudburst stuck with us for much of the 48 hours until we boarded which dampened our plans. We were glad we were staying in an Embassy Suites and had the extra room while ...
We chose this 16 day cruise for it’s itinerary, value and breadth of activities.
The ship was a manageable size, offered plentiful activities and many meal and eating options.
The cruise directors and activities staff provided many entertainment and participant activities.
We were amazed at the friendly and helpful staff. Each staff member went out of their way to make sure we had the ...
The ship is wonderful. I love how small and easy to navigate she is compared to her bigger competitors and sisters. Not high-tech, which is fine with me. I'm happy with just music and trivia and silly games and reading by the pool. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I thought the ship was perfect for my wife and I.
Solarium space is wonderful. Quiet, great view.
Staff were wonderful. Steve ...
Completed 16 night panama canal cruise.
Major problem was room noise, every night and every day. Complained to ship staff only to be told no one has ever complained about noise problems and the noise was from the pool above us. Sorry but there was no way it was coming from the pool above.
If you are booking a room on this ship do not book this room, or one near it.
It was a real shame as ...
Embarked in Miami - was on board quickly and cabins opened by 1.15pm. We tried the assisted boarding as my dad has bad arthritis and struggles to walk far now. We waited in an area with an awful lot of others in the same position and after 15 minutes were taken up an escalator and basically it cut quite a bit of walking out.
Deck 3 Oceanview 3096 and 3094 - nice big window with blackout blinds ...
I am a frequent cruiser and usually choose Royal Caribbean. I am a Diamond member of Crown & Anchor. The 2018 Panama Canal cruise was disappointing compared to previous experiences on Royal Caribbean
Boarding in Miami : out of 20+ cruises, this was the worst, most disorganized boarding process I’ve ever seen. First of all there was seating for less than 25 people in the shuttle waiting area at ...
I haven't seen many reviews by families with small children, so thought I might have something to add. I cruised with husband, my two daughters (ages 1 and 3), and my in laws. I had done quite a bit of research ahead of time, and Royal Caribbean was billed as a fairly family friendly cruise line, so we went with it.
Embarkation was a breeze. We had done online check in, and when the RCCI ...
Pre-cruise: We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro for one night pre-cruise. The Crowne Plaza is about a 20-25 minute ride from the Long Beach airport, but the hotel doesn't offer an airport shuttle. However, we had reserved space on-line in advance for the four of us with Prime Time Shuttle service for $42 total. The shuttle was ready and waiting when we arrived!
The Crowne Plaza ...
Embarkation Security to get on the ship was a repeat of airline security. Make sure you have your ship pass & passport/drivers license(if applicable)in hand for instant viewing by security personnel. This also applies when departing the ship in port and even more stringently when returning from an off-ship activity. All hats, glasses etc must be removed for your pix to be snapped when you get back ...
I combined my trip to visit my family for Thanksgiving with a 7 day cruise leaving out of San Pedro, CA the Sunday after the holiday. Had my sister drop me off at the pier to avoid paying the significant cost for parking at the pier.
Embarkation was a breeze. Only problem was I wanted to verify my On-board Credit received from my Travel Agent, but they said they couldn't do that until the second ...
