Vision of the Seas 4/20/08 Room: O/S 8504 We had a great time, though there were a few issues that popped up that took away from the overall experience. We traveled with another couple. This will be rather long. There is a quick summary at the end for those that don't want to read the entire thing. I'll post some pictures later this week for those that want to see them. Embarkation: We ...

My boyfriend and I just got back from the Vision of the Seas last night. This was his first cruise and this was my 4th. I have been on Carnival and Norwegian before and was very excited about RCCL as there ships have always looked awesome. The port was easy as we flew into LA and stayed a few days there and the night before the cruise stayed at the Double Tree right in the harbor. It was nice but ...

Embarkation- Embarking went fairly smooth. We arrived at the port around 11:00 and we were on at about 11:20ish. Since they divided the sections of "embarkers" into categories by the following things- C&A status, deck of stateroom, it made it a lot faster. The longest part of embarking was taking the two welcome aboard pictures. Although you can skip this....no one did. On this particular cruise ...

Travel Group - Traveled with my wife's family, my wife, and 3 year old daughter - overall a party of eight, including 4 Senior Citizens. This was our 3rd cruise as a group, the 1st with Celebrity (Constellation), the 2nd with Royal Caribbean (Legend of the Seas). Embarkation - Very smooth. We got to the pier around 11:15 am. Check in and security went very well. We were through the entire ...

Background info - Travel with my two children: daughter age 7 and son age 13 as well as my sister. It's my 3rd cruise (2 with RC, 1 with Holland), my kids 2nd cruise (1 Holland, 1st time with RC) and my sister's first. We had an inside room mid ship. Embarkation - Very smooth. We got to the pier around 12:15 and stopped to pick up luggage tags. Then stood in line for about 10 minutes to drop off ...

We booked this cruise for it's ease of travel for our parties, living in Long Beach, Ca. this would avoid the dreaded airport equation. Our family had done the Princess Diamond with this itinerary back in '05, but we wanted our friends who had never cruised before to experience the joy and relaxation that we have come to love about cruising, so we went with the RCI Vision which does the itinerary ...

This was our first cruise vacation for myself, my husband and two kids ages 12 and 14. Other extended family members were with us and had cruised many times on different cruise lines. We also had family members with two teens (15 and 17) and two kids (5 and 7). Getting on the ship was very easy. We got to San Pedro about 2:00 and went through all the lines smoothly. Our cabin was clean as was ...

We sailed on 3/9/08. We arrived at LAX on 3/8 and used Super Shuttle to take us to the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro that we had booked on Priceline for $65. Have patience with Super Shuttle as they will go around the airport until their van is full and drop off in the order they wish. The Crowne Plaza was great and the shuttle from the hotel to the port worked out great. The staff was wonderful on ...

I hope you find this review useful; I tend to ramble sometimes, so you are going to get a long but comprehensive review of my time spent on the Vision of the Seas. BACKGROUND: It was a rather long trip for me to get to the port from home; I flew Continental from Halifax-Newark-LAX and landed at about 11:00 PM local time. I can't stress this enough- FLY IN THE DAY BEFORE YOUR CRUISE, especially ...

My wife and I had planned to go on this cruise in December 2006 to celebrate our tenth anniversary. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel, but we were able to rebook for this cruise. We decided to go during spring break so that our seven year-old could join us. We drove down from the Bay Area via a rental car, and stayed overnight at the Hyatt Long Beach. This hotel is within easy ...
