A fun cruise with great service! Ready for more

Review for Vision of the Seas to Caribbean - Western

We chose this trip for an adult-family cruise. We wanted to leave out of Galveston and have an itinerary that was in line with spring break. This was my first time on Royal Caribbean, and I was left very satisfied. We even tried the new "Key" feature, which included priority embarkation and debarkation, 1st day brunch at Chops, and last day breakfast at Chops, internet, and other perks, like prime ...

Great service and lots of space

We are Platinum with Carnival but decided to join friends who were taking a trip on the Vision. We were a little skeptical about being newbies on Royal and selecting an older, smaller ship on top of that, but we were pleasantly surprised. Embarkation port was in New Orleans, very easy and quick process. We had no problems bringing a 12 pack of our favorite soda on board. Cabins were ...

Got to New Orleans port at 9:30, they didn’t start letting guests start checking in with cruise staff til 10. I believe we were on the ship by 11:30 (we are not diamond club, just first time on royal). If you want to carry your baggage off yourself at end of cruise in self-assist, we were getting off the ship at around 7:17 a.m., through customs and out of terminal just after 7:30. Back to car ...

We have sailed on NCL a lot, although our 1st cruise was on RCI. We chose this one for NOLA and the cruise ports. We were surprised at the good condition of the Vision, going on 21 years old. We prefer the smaller ships. Had the BOGO specialty rest. pkg. (Chops and Giovanni's) which were both very good. Dinners in MDR were also good. Entertainment was so-so. The 2 production shows were very ...

An average adventure

The original cruise had their private island which was changed to Miami. The food was excellent. The dining room staff was excellent but most tables are for ten so it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to eat. This is a real negative in terms of getting to events. Buffet set up is the worst I have ever seen. Main buffet as you enter. Just horrid. The staff was nice, seating acceptable but room set up ...

I chose this cruise because RCCL has not sailed from New Orleans in many years. Was very happy to see them back as it is only hours from home. Embarkation went fairly smoothly. They needed more people to manage the seating for priority boarding area. The overall condition of the ship was good. I saw nothing to complain about. I had a balcony cabin (#7028) on port side near the front. Was ...

Sailed out of Barcelona on The Vision recently for a 12 day Med Cruise. This was our first cruise and it was great. The locations were fantastic, but the day trips were expensive and long at times. They have you over a barrel with most of them as there is no other way to reach the tourist locations. The Vision is 20yrs old and recently refurbished, it had some character to it and gave an ...

Review for Vision of the Seas to Transatlantic

My parents invited my husband and I to take this transatlantic cruise with them. This was the 4th cruise we had been on and the first transatlantic. Like the first cruise on Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas back in 2010, the Vision was a fabulous experience. While a smaller (and older) ship, it was pristine and immaculate and the layout was great. Easy to get around, lots happening ...
