This was our 1st trip to Alaska, our 5th cruise total and our 3rd with RCL. We loved this trip over all but had a few problem with the beginning and end of our adventure. We flew out of Pittsburgh, PA into Vancouver BC with a layover in Chicago. No problem with the flight although it was a long, long flight. We booked our transfers with RCL in order to take advantage of the USDirect program and ...

Just back from the 08/18/06-08/25/06 Alaska Cruise. Vision of the Seas was a beautiful ship. Tons of areas to watch from! The indoor pool was the nicest spot of all. The temperature inside was warm while looking out at Alaska! Yes, kids were allowed in the pool, but they had certain times that they were allowed, and they came around and kicked them out when time was up. It was never crowded; I ...

As this was my first cruise, I had read some reviews before I left. So I was really watching for things that might not be quite right. From the moment we walked into the big check-in building, everything went as smooth as could be. That process was fast (we had pre-registered on line & had our passports handy.) Shortly after arriving at our cabin, our steward greeted us and explained the "Muster ...

The Alaska trip was great. We sailed from Seattle on a seven-day trip up through the inner passage and back. Our ports were Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), and Victoria. We would recommend it to anyone. Sailing along the inside passage is too beautiful for words. To enjoy the beauty that God has created is something that one can only experience for oneself. In looking at the pictures, ...

Our room was not as clean as I would have liked it. There was mold growing in the shower area. The food was not that great and it always seemed like they were trying to sell me something. That got old after the 2nd day Staff was friendly but the language barrier was hard to navigate. Several times we tried to get some information but were not successful. Just no way to communicate. My SeaPass ...

My boyfriend and I (both 25) just returned from a 7 night Alaska Cruise on Vision of the Seas. This was my 3rd cruise and his 1st, all on Royal Caribbean. We flew from Boston non-stop to Seattle on Alaska Airlines on the morning of the cruise, I was a little nervous about any delays but the flight departed on time and we even arrived in Seattle a half hour early. We pre-booked a transfer to the ...

This was our first cruise aboard Royal Caribbean. Our vacation started off al little bit stressful, but this was not the fault of RCCL. Our flight from Southern California to Seattle was delayed about 4 hours, which would get us to the dock uncomfortably close to sailing time. The airline phoned ahead to RCCL with the dilemma. We landed in Seattle at about 4:00pm. The RCCL staff at the airport was ...

I was a first time cruiser, so this was all new to me! The Vision of the Seas is a nice ship. Decor - Nice, but a bit "Vegasy". Dining - Windjammer Cafe - Food selection was good over all. Quality was okay. At lunch time, some dishes, particularly those with beef or pork chunks - the meats were over cooked and a bit tough. I was pleased to see a few international dishes, such as Indian and ...

Vision to Alaska 6/30-7/7/06 My daughter, 16, and I had a wonderful time. We flew out of CT the night before and stayed in Seattle at the Red Lion South. Not my favorite place, they originally put us on the 2nd floor and they have no elevator, and we had lots of luggage. I sent my daughter to the room with the biggest piece, and she came back and told me there was no bed! After I made sure it ...

My husband and I just returned from our first cruise and our first trip to Alaska. We are 35 years old and traveled as a couple, no kids. I will start out by saying I have read probably hundreds of reviews on cruises and Alaska. Not knowing what to expect, I would say our trip was good overall. Not fantastic as we had expected and hoped (and paid for!). We expected an older crowd, and were ...
