Wonderful Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Viking Star

This was our first ocean cruise, and we chose Viking because of the small ship, no photographers, no casino and no kids. We thought that we would be overwhelmed with people after our experience with the 100 passenger Viking river cruise ships. Not so, the ships facilities were such that we never felt any crowding in any location. We had upgraded to a penthouse veranda and the extra space was very ...

Our first larger ship as we were also able to enjoy trips with the Viking River Tours. As prior customers we experienced the same top quality in all forms of services. The tours were extensive and informative even enjoyed the previews given in their beautiful auditorium with feature videos of the days excursions. Our rooms were always fresh and inviting and with these larger ships, the room ...

We had room service and a scrumptious breakfast on the days we had an early tour and it was no extra cost. We enjoyed high tea only once we need to take a longer tour with a day st sea so we can enjoy all the benefits on the ship. We loved the Alaskan king crab legs and the specialty restaurants we loved the Nordic spa experience. They really thought of everything when they designed the ship there ...

Both embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. We were always treated with a welcoming attitude by the crew in all departments. Very professional but also very personable. Having been on Holland America and Oceania, which we also thoroughly enjoyed, Viking has made a lasting impression! Due to its smaller size and number of passengers as well as the comfortable open and inviting common ...

Always Great with Viking!

We chose this cruise as it was two weeks in duration, a good price and had four islands we hadn’t yet visited. We enjoy the fact that just about everything is paid for up front so there’s no big surprise at the end. Wine and beer with lunch and dinner always flow freely. Soft drinks/juices, tea and coffee are available 24 hours a day and water is provided before leaving on excursions. There are ...

Viking lived up to their reputation. This was the most restful cruise I have ever been on and the crew, although most were fairly new to ocean cruises, were very polite and helpful. The ship was beautiful with their spa like bathroom (which included heated floors) and the cabin was very clean and modern. The toiletries were name brand and replenished regularly. Selection of movies great, but ...

Been on Start in the east Mediterranean and loved the ship. This trip was even better! We had a suite for a reasonable price and the best part was being able to be at a different Island every day. Learned a lot, snorkeled often, enjoyed the beaches and towns. We started actually in Puerto Rico and island hopped down to Barbados and back. The ship is excellent and well maintained. Staff are ...

We had never sailed on Viking and wanted to try a new line. We did not explore our departure city but did the Bacardi rum factory instead. Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth. Getting through customs was very easy. The ship was beautiful, the staff were exemplary and the food was great. The salt shakers in the upstairs dining area need updated and the mini bar supply needs improved.. ...
