Our friends asked if we wanted to go with them on this particular river cruise and, as we had never tried a river cruise and wanted to, it afforded the perfect excuse to go. Some friends asked if we would join them on this cruise and we had been wanting to try one. The cruise was a lot more relaxed than being on a large ship. We had a great trip and really enjoyed all the things we saw and did. Meet lots of wonderful people on board the long boat. The crew was very friendly and helpful. Our tour director, Claudia, met us in Paris and remained with us for the entire trip. She was always accessible, made sure everyone knew schedules, always informative and friendly.
I was disappointed that the boat did not dock within walking distance to the town at each port. It was so much more enjoyable when that was possible.

Great itinerary, food was best we have ever had on any cruise line. Cabin was adequate. Ship layout was easy to navigate. Tours were included. IOverall, great experience. The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5 stars was the post cruise extension was extremely overpriced for what I could and should have booked myself. The Hotel in Paris - Le Meridien was being renovated and you could hear all the work being done early in the morning above us. We had the furthest room from the elevators and took 20 minutes just to get to the Lobby. Hotel breakfast was good. Hotel Staff was attentive. Everything else in Paris was lovely. Vikings tour of the city was fine.

Our first river cruise. The hotel in Paris (Le Meridien) was nothing special, small room looked a bit worn but Prague Hilton was nice. It was hot in Paris/Germany/Prague during our trip. The A/C in the ship's dining room had some trouble keeping it cool during dinners but our cabin (Veranda Suite) was always cool. Most of the tour guides were excellent.
