Viking is a shrewd marketing Company. Spend a week on a river which at any moment in time has 10,000 barges to have a few hours of wonderful scenery!! Book an upper level balcony cabin and realize at the end of the cruise that the ship "repositions" at each docking so that the suites are out facing ( plus the French Balconies underneath) and the balcony cabins are facing the bank of the river ...
