From the booking to the return home flight, Viking never disappointed us. The ship and crew were fantastic. They always remembered our names and were very interactive. Everyone was fun interacting with, and the crew kept the ship neat and tidy. Comfortable and attentive. The folks meet you at baggage pick-up and take you first class to your hotel or ship. The ship greets you with the entire staff ...
Our traveling friends wanted to see Paris and the Swiss Alps and this cruise fit that criteria. The time of year worked for all of us, too. Once on the cruise, we realized we would be sailing before the time of the Christmas markets so that was a disappointmet. However, I guess that means we will have to book another cruise sometime.
Our dining experience far exceeded our expectations. The ...
We have enjoyed every Viking cruise. The quality is always excellent, accommodations and staff are great. Will continue to use Viking in the future. We usually skipped the evening entertainment because of the early morning tours.
The staff were excellent, as they always are. Viking really takes care to insure every passenger is safe and accounted for. That is important to those of us who are ...
First time river cruising... Decided to try one after 15 or so ocean cruises. It won't be our last.
Viking's staff was top notch throughout the process with the exception of messing up our return flight, but that was minor in comparison to the rest.
We enjoyed having a small group on board (175 or so as compared to thousands on a sea voyage). No kids, no photographers in your face, no art ...
We chose to cruise with Viking because of it's excellent reputation. The Cities of Lights cruise enabled us to spend time in Paris and cruise several rivers of Europe. Some of the locations on the cruise were to places we had visited 40 years ago when I was conducting an orchestra on a month long tour through this region of Europe. We were anxious to revisit wonderful locations such as ...
We chose this cruise as my husband and I have mainly been on ocean cruises, and wanted to experience a river cruise. We have sailed on Viking ocean before, so we felt that choosing Viking River cruise would be a safe bet. The itinerary was well chosen, but it was the optional tour to Rothenburg ob de Tauber (in Germany) that was our absolute favorite! The old part of the city was wonderfully ...
This trip was postponed several times due to covid. As a reward for booking another cruise we were promised several on board ship benefits. When the time came to cash them in we were told that we did not have them by our travel agent. I called Viking directly and they told me that they would not speak with me because we had an agent but they did tell me that we had some credits. After very ...
We went with a group of six. The tour guides were informative and thorough. The ship was clean and easy to get around. We also really liked the small size of the ship and with under 200 people. The wait staff, bartenders, desk staff, housecleaning, ship director, and everyone else were very attentive, friendly and ready to help you at all times. . The food was delicious and presentation was ...
We were on the Cities of Light cruise. We spent 4 extended days in Prague, 8 days on the river with stops in Germany and a short stop in Luxemborg at the American Cemetery and 4 extended days in Paris. The Rhine was not navigable in some places, but Viking handled it very professionally! I strongly recommend that you do extended days in Prague and Paris. It gives you an opportunity to meet people ...
I've been on two ocean cruises before and had great times on both of them. Viking took everything a step above what I've experienced before. From including tours at each port to amazing food/wine service included with each meal, their service exceeded my expectations. When we saw sales that included free round trip airfare to Europe, we couldn't pass up on the opportunity and I'm glad we ...
