UBER driver arrived 10 minutes early than 5 AM reservation but that was fine. $2.90 airport surcharge, booking fee $9.14, reservation fee $5.00. This was my 5th Viking Cruise, second time doing the Rhine. Our very first Rhine Cruise was July 2015. Wow! Viking has changed! Many of the optional excursions were included in 2015. This time not much offered. Too many shuttles being used to get to towns and back to boat. The service has gone down. We weren’t even recognized for our 5th cruise! The first half of this cruise was terrible. We had Viking arrange our travel and will never do that again. We paid the extra $100 for air plus ($200 total) which was a total waste of money. No one ever contacted us about our travel and they booked the worst flights we have ever had going overseas. It took 18 hrs and we missed the entire of the first day of the cruise.

We wanted to experience the view from all 3 rivers, however Viking closed the upper deck for 6 days. I understand why but we would have selected another itinerary had we known this. My biggest dissatisfaction was the fact that the reason we take Viking is for their Enrichment and Shore Lectures. None of this existed on the River.

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary - Paris to Prague. However we did not read the itinerary carefully enough and "Paris" and "Prague" turned out to be only half day bus tours.
