UBER driver arrived 10 minutes early than 5 AM reservation but that was fine. $2.90 airport surcharge, booking fee $9.14, reservation fee $5.00. We choose this particular ship and date because of the itinerary and it did not disappoint. The ports and scenery while cruising were incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed every stop on our journey and highlights were the two “scenic cruising” afternoons. Having great weather for the duration was a bonus.

This was my 5th Viking Cruise, second time doing the Rhine. Our very first Rhine Cruise was July 2015. Wow! Viking has changed! Many of the optional excursions were included in 2015. The first half of this cruise was terrible. We had Viking arrange our travel and will never do that again. We paid the extra $100 for air plus ($200 total) which was a total waste of money. No one ever contacted us about our travel and they booked the worst flights we have ever had going overseas. It took 18 hrs and we missed the entire of the first day of the cruise.

The staff was great. The food was great. The tours were great. The room was good except for the temperature being either freezing or burning alive hot and water pooling on the balcony (no drain hole on edge).
