Inside cabins are great in December, because you won't miss the balcony at all. (We used the deep, curtained window sills to store packs, hats, gloves and packages, which was handy). Bring ear plugs if the odd bumps and gurglings of water flowing by at night bother you. Everything is close on such a small ship so room location doesn't make much difference. We couldn't figure out how to control our room heat, so be sure and ask a housekeeper how to get the heat to stay on. And - those heated bath floor as are DIVINE! Read Less

The cabin was fine for our needs. You spend almost no time there. The public spaces are so pretty that I would not spend the money for a veranda or French balcony cabin.

The room is well planned and lit. There is room under the bed for luggage, a water bottled filled daily on your desk, small listening devices for the tours (make sure they are always charged and take them with you for every tour), as well as a real hair dryer, not like some that we have had on ocean cruises. The bathroom is small but plenty of room for toiletries and great water pressure in the shower. The room is impeccably clean and remained that way throughout the cruise. Read Less
