1-10 of 10 Viking Osiris Suite Cabin Cruise Reviews
I chose this cruise because I figured Viking would be a safe option to see Egypt.
There were many great things about the cruise - The sights were wonderful. All free excursions were worthwhile. Paid excursions not so wonderful. Had a light show one - definitely not worth it. Friends said bazaar option was not worth it either - too crowded and pushy vendors.... Viking used various methods of ...
This trip was selected by my husband for his 60th birthday gift. We have been on many ocean cruises but never a river one. And typically I do all the planning and arrangements - and this time I let Viking do it all and I was not sorry! We did the Israel pre-cruise add on also which wasn't my first choice - but my husband selected it over the post-cruise days in Jordan. We were the youngest ...
Overall we were very happy with the cruise. The ship is relatively new. It was clean and modern. We had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table, but did not use it much because the weather was a bit cool. The cabin was spacious and cleaned everyday.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our Egyptologist Fouad was so knowledgeable, personable, and funny. The ship was split into 3 groups and each had ...
The rooms and deckplan of this ship were amazing.
The showers in the bathrooms had some design flaws and kept flooding. The repair of the silicone only partially fixed the issue.
The excursions and guides were exceptional, although the emphasis on tipping everything and everyone in every location began to irritate most of the passengers.
The alcohol package was a total let down as most ...
Visiting Egypt and cruising on the Nile River were definitely bucket list items for us and Viking did a great job of fulfilling that dream. We visited museums, pyramids, temples and tombs all along the Nile while having an excellent Egyptologist as our guide to provide us with intriguing details about the history and legends of the Pharaohs and their legacies. Each day brought a new insight and ...
Bucket list item. Hotels very beautiful, good restaurant. Alot of walking, uneven terrain, loose rocks, and very hot in Oct. Extremely busy but so exciting. No need to worry about entertainment your too tired after excursions. Sleep is much welcome. Swan rooms very nice. Windows larger than those on Europe river boats. Tons of storage and even a couch to relax on. Service from staff was ...
We chose this cruise as it was our 25th anniversary and we wanted it to be very special. The ship is brand new and it was sparkling clean. The crew and staff on board were extremely nice, hard working, and very pleasant. The food on board was really good and plentiful. Unlike other cruise ships this is not a feeding frenzy, meals are served 3 times a day (which we really liked) but there is ...
We booked this cruise to go in early 2020, but then COVID hit and it was postponed. I think it was postponed 4 times and the final delay was because the ship was not built yet; a large part because of COVID. The ship was beautiful and well decorated. The restaurant was very nice; however, it quickly became apparent that the staff had not been trained in serving wine. I had a difficult time ...
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Egypt with Viking. Our flight was delayed out of SFO and the Viking Air staff did a great job getting us rescheduled on a later flight out of Heathrow. From the pickup at the airport to our delivery back, we were well taken care of by our Viking reps. We felt safe the entire time. The Osiris is a beautiful boat and the staff is spectacular. They spent their time ...
We have always wanted to see Egypt by way of a Nile river cruise. This cruise did not disappoint. The limited size of the travel group and that it was a new ship was a plus. The ship was wonderful with many areas to relax and appreciate the countryside as it passed by. On board, it was nice to sample local fair as well as have the ability to have more familiar meals if so desired. The staff ...
