My husband and I went on the Viking Rhine cruise and I couldn't wait to go on another. I went with a friend for this excursion and had a blast. From Paris to Luxembourg to Germany to Czech Republic, we saw so much of Europe. The tour guides were great and I felt like I learned a lot on the trip.
The entire staff is terrific - very friendly, helpful and professional. The ship is beautiful! I ...
I wanted to see Paris and the castles of Germany! It was great! Loved the crew and food! I am gluten free and the chef made bread and all my food was cooked with that in mind.
The tours were outstanding! The hotels were excellent and everything went so smoothly!
There were so many tours and the tour guides were great! The coordinator for this cruise was excellent! The airport pickup ...
Some friends asked if we would join them on this cruise and we had been wanting to try one. The cruise was a lot more relaxed than being on a large ship. It was nice being just steps away from the lounge and dining areas rather than traversing a lengthy ship. The service and staff was exceptional. The food was good, the free wine and beer with dinner was great, and the entertainment was ...
This trip included some cities I hadn't been to before. Accommodations, food, service and chosen tours/activities were excellent. The Viking staff could not have been more responsive. Our 3-day extension at the end of the river cruise in Budapest was outstanding. There, too, Viking was superb in helping make our "after-cruise" days an excellent experience. The planned shore excursions were ...
This was our second time with Viking. The cruise was "The City of Lights'" from Bamberg Germany to Trier with an extra two night stay tacked on before the cruise in Prague and two nights afterwards in Paris. All organized by Viking River Cruises.
What can I say? We had a fabulous experience. Excellent shore excursions throughout hosted by knowledgable and personable guides. Accommodations on ...
Great itinerary, food was best we have ever had on any cruise line. Cabin was adequate. Ship layout was easy to navigate. Tours were included. IOverall, great experience. The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5 stars was the post cruise extension was extremely overpriced for what I could and should have booked myself. Double the price of what we could have booked at the same hotel for. ...
We had a great trip and really enjoyed all the things we saw and did. Meet lots of wonderful people on board the long boat. The crew was very friendly and helpful. Our program directors was a fun lively gal. Saw so many things on the shore excursions. Glad we took lots of pictures to help us remember all the places we were. Although all the guides were very knowledgeable and eagerly ...
We started poorly. The hotel in Paris was not able to have our rooms ready by the 3 p.m. deadline. Instead, we were not allowed into our room until well after 5 p.m. Our wake-up call did not materialize and thus we missed our assigned bus ride to our port of embarkation, Trier.
Our cruise should have lasted 6 nights. Instead, the Odin broke down and we were stranded at a small German town - ...
This was my first trip to Europe. I had high expectations for the Viking River Cruise experience and I was not disappointed. The service, from the staff, was excellent. Everyone was super efficient and organized. I felt pampered because the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The environment was intimate and encouraged the passengers to interact with each other. The ship was small ...
After 3 nights on board we had to disembark the Odin and continue our itinerary as a 'land' cruise. The Danube was too high because of early melting snows. (Let's hear it for climate change.) There were several other ships that experienced the same fate.
Nevertheless, Viking managed to find nice buses, 4-5 star hotels, and relatively good places for 135 people to eat all at once. The only ...
