We have taken a Viking river cruise and was very impressed with the activities, staff and food. We chose this cruise because I have wanted to take a Panama cruise for several years. I prefer a smaller cruise ship with people close to my age range and interests and no children under 18. We had such an incredible time meeting new people, trying new foods and attending the shows and lectures. ...
We chose Viking based on the size of the ship and the destinations it offered. We especially were drawn to the fact that there were no children allowed and there was no casino on board.(we do no partake in the gambling on a cruise). The state rooms had nice space and storage was well thought out. The heated floor in the bathroom was an especially nice treat. The shower was large compared to other ...
We took this particular cruise because we wanted to see the Panama Canal. Overall, the cruise was exceptional. Manfredi's was our favorite restaurant. The staff was extraordinary as was the food. The cruise director kept everyone engaged with all that was available to do and see. Viking's staff all were very friendly and helpful.
Our cabin attendant Rangga anticipated any and all wants and ...
Viking does everything to make sure that each guest enjoys the perfect cruise. The embarkment was so smooth and easy and it started the trip off with excitement and a fabulous attitude from all. The food was amazing in every restaurant, and the staff was excellent. They were attentive, hardworking, focused, and pleasant to all. The ship was immaculate. Any mechanical problems in state rooms were ...
We chose Viking as our first ocean cruise after Covid because 1.) their Health & Safety Program, provides the best protection to avoid transmission of covid, 2.) Ease of Embarkation/Disembarkation, Historian, and Cultural Programs, and 3.) Dining & Entertainment. Onboard, physical distancing & optional facemask are recommended. All employees, wear masks and surfaces on the ship are cleaned and ...
We chose this trip as a replacement for a Viking river trip through Russia that was cancelled. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the facilities and the amazing service. The variety and quality of the food was outstanding. The excursions were very educational and interesting. We met some friends who we hope will become lifetime friends. All-in-all we were well satisfied with our trip ...
My husband and I have wanted to go thru the Panama Canal for quite a few years now. This cruise happened to sail during our 45th Anniversary, so we jumped on it. From the moment we entered the ship until we left, we felt "special"(and it had nothing to do with what we were celebrating as they didn't know). The entire crew was always warm, smiling and helpful.
The towns/countries we visited ...
Our 51st Anniversary cruise to Panama Canal on Viking Star was the least enjoyable, most frustrating and overpriced, caused ill effects on my health and was far short of the luxury we were led to expect of any cruise line we’ve experienced in 50 years of cruising. Too many sales staff, Customer Rep’s, ship's personnel and ship's management were negligent regarding Viking regulations and what ...
We appreciate you sharing your experience, RebekaJean, although we regret to hear of the events you've described here. We’ve taken note of your feedback and while we understand you have...
My overall rating as a 4 has mostly to do with the excursions. This trip was a typical 5 Star Viking voyage and through no fault of Viking this area just doesn't have the most exciting excursions. The Panama Canal was the highlight. Viking is still watching out for everyones safety as all the crew were masked all of the time. Our cabin attendants would have our room ready by the time we came back ...
We wanted to experience six uninterrupted days at sea to unwind and enjoy the food, the lectures, and the ambiance aboard ship. Viking didn't fail us - it was the best experience we've ever had cruising. We particularly enjoyed the fascinating lecturers with topics ranging from World War II Atlantic submarine warfare, to Antarctic explorers, to world-class ocean rowing; first-run movies each ...
