Wanted to visit the Amazon on a luxury cruise line. The ship was very nice and never a crowd at any one area. The service was outstanding from the steward , restaurant, and service staff. Viking Ocean does a top notch job. Embarkation was a breeze. No lines. The customer service was exceptional. The food was excellent. I have traveled on many cruise lines, and Viking is my favorite. Many things are included in the price of the trip, so it may seem more expensive, but the value is good. Interesting destination! Not often one gets to sail the Amazon River. More stops and/or longer stops would have been good. Disembarkation from the ship went well, however, we were dropped off at the airport terminal seven hours before our flight and could not check in with American Airlines until four hours before our flight. Many of my objections are more than likely unique to this cruise. For 7 sea days straight the seas were choppy (we had to skip Iles du Salut because it was too choppy for the tenders) and we rocked and rolled.
