I love the fact there is no one under the age of 18 on these ships. Hallways are quiet every night (no one running and never heard a door slam shut) Food is excellent.. no surcharges for specialty restaurants. Entertainment is not flashy stage shows (I never go on the other lines anyway) The speakers have talks on what you are actually going to see and you learn about the geography and wildlife ...
Iceland was rated a Stage 3 country right before we left for the cruise. We had Covid tests within 72 hrs of departure. We were tested daily and restricted from going off on our own. We wore masks in the public areas of the ship, on buses, and any time (which was rare) that we were indoors. We wore contact tracing lanyards everywhere we went. There were reminders of handwashing and sanitizing ...
We chose to go on Viking because of the excellent rating they had and also the nice itinerary of the cruise. The ship itself is very beautiful in decor and layout. The staff were also some of the best have had on a cruise. However the cruise was one of the worst we have experienced. The day before we were to leave for the cruise the CDC downgraded Iceland from level 1 to level 3. The ...

Viking does a great job with its river and ocean cruises and this was no exception. We chose Iceland in August 2021 with two other couples as a unique destination best reached by a cruise with its shore excursions allowing us to explore the geography, history, geology, and people. The shore excursions and lunches were well organized, pleasant, and educationally rewarding (which we like about ...
We wanted to see Iceland and this trip satisfied all of our longings. The ship held about 840 passengers and never felt crowded. A very classy trip with great staff, entertainment and dining. The daytime lectures were informative and extremely educational. The entertainers were Broadway quality. The room attendants were so attentive and professional especially in light of the fact that they ...
After being pretty isolated during the pandemic, I wanted to travel. And I’d never been on an ocean cruise. I chose Viking because of three previous river cruises with Viking, which I considered exceptional. The ocean cruise was just amazing. Iceland is spectacular, but so is Viking Sky. I was pretty overwhelmed by the beauty of the ship, and I loved the size. My husband never wanted to do a ...
This cruise lived up to the Viking standard! Staff was hospitable, food was excellent, accommodations spotless, clean and comfortable. The curated tours were amazing, and I would not have wanted to see Iceland any other way! Every tour is so organized and clear with what's happening. The buses are very comfortable with padded ergo seats and tour guides are very friendly. During our voyage there ...
In the midst of the pandemic, we were thrilled to learn that Viking was offering an ocean cruise to Iceland for vaccinated passengers. My husband and I were so tired of staying home that we couldn't wait to sign up. It was a wonderful way to seeing an exciting country as we navigated around the country clockwise and visited such interesting ports. At several locations there were more people on ...
Our first ocean cruise on Viking. The small ship had an incredible friendly crew. The entertainment was great. The classical duo in the atrium lounge playing viola and cello wereour favorites. So many dinning choices, Manfredi was our favorite. The cabin stewardsPutu and Mark were always there for us and our special requests. We became great friendswith the bartenders Rico and Rodge , very ...
The ship was beautiful, well put together, clean and not overcrowded. The staff and crew was Amazing, Helpful, kind, thoughtful and just plain awesome. The staff knew our names on sight and offered what we needed before we had to ask. We had a wonderful time and never felt overcrowded or pressed.
The shore excursions were well organized but too short. On our own in Paris was spent in ...
