And I have taken several; why you wonder: #1 - I caught an intestinal illness on board, couldn't eat hardly eat anything but chicken soup and a little fruit for the last seven days of the cruise; it was an eleven night cruise. Couldn't determine if it was something I ate or if it was some inconsiderate passenger on board spreading disease; doesn't matter I caught it on board. I do want to ...

A Mediterranean ocean cruise- what could be better than that? Well, okay, perhap a Mediterranean cruise in the spring as opposed to the beginning of December - but weather be damned, Viking handled its part of the trip briliiantly! The first jaw-drop was being greeted by name by so many of the crew. I used to teach and needed at least a couple of days with identification notes in order to know ...

All activities were very good, food and services were excellent. All restaurants were great. The swimming pool with seawater was special; my wife went swimming at 5 am every date, even in stormy weather. The ship launderette to maintain our clothing cleaned and ironed. The tea room was very nice, were all kind of teas were available served with scones and other delicacies. The on board ...

Friends invited us to join them on this cruise. We had cruised before, but never on Viking. It was by far the best, but also the most expensive. There was value for the price. The cruise manager and the entire crew were superior. The destinations were great. We made good use of the public spaces for playing games on sea days. The service was beyond expectations. The atrium concerts added to ...

Wanted to see all the cities that the cruise visited. Never been to any of them. It was an educational experience listening to historians on board and driving around to see the sights. We especially enjoyed the bridge lessons by an excellent bridge instructor. The music at different venues was entertaining. The food at all the restaurants was fine and the portions appropriate. The drinks at the bars ...

We have been on four Viking River cruises (China, Russia, Passage to Eastern Europe, Windmills and Tulips) and two Viking Ocean Cruises (From the Caribbean to the Amazon and Western Mediterranean Explorer). We make our choices of cruises based on itinerary. We have traveled on brands of ships with 50 and 100 passengers which we enjoyed very much. The only cruise ship bigger than a Viking Ocean was ...

WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN EXPLORER ON THE VIKING SKY We were 2 couples (65+) on this wonderful cruise. Having 5 countries and 11 ports & cities to visit was amazing. Previously we had been on 3 Viking River Cruises and 1 Viking Ocean cruise. We all agreed it was a great trip. Viking handled everything from beginning to end perfectly. It was an amazing itinerary. The Sky is a great ship, with ...

We wanted to see Spain and Portugal. This Cruise fit the bill. We don’t especially like big ocean cruises, so we liked the smaller ship idea. I can’t really fault the ship, but since we have only been on one other “ocean” cruise, it certainly was far better than the ocean cruise we were on previously. Unfortunately, we have been on three Viking River Cruises and found ourselves comparing our ...

We chose this cruise because it provided an opportunity for us to visit cities and countries that we had never seen before. We had been on a Viking River Cruise before and was very pleased with the experience. We appreciated that the fees were all up front. The ship was clean, comfortable and the staff always polite and helpful. The service was impeccable. We especially enjoyed the meals at ...
