We chose this cruise because we love Norway, and wanted to visit in winter to try to see the northern lights. Viking offered this cruise beginning with two days in Bergen, giving us time to both recover from jet lag and enjoy shopping in Bergen, We also paid Viking to arrange our air travel, so as to insure a seamless arrival in the event of any disruption. Well, one of the flights ultimately ...

Viking does a nice job but did not think thru their excursion offerings of this cruise. First, it was mostly in the dark, which was to be expected on a cruise above the Arctic Circle in January. but, many of the museums, shops and excursions sites were closed or inappropriate for January. Great ship, great food. Crew members were great also. Pools were enjoyed whenever we could except the rusty tile that was in the pool. spa was nice except when the steam room went out for 4 days. hot tubs were not quite hot enough for my liking. beautiful countries but not even enough time to enjoy them. two days in St Petersburg Russia but you needed a visa to go on your own. so that ...

Viking Star – Part of its maiden voyage from Barcelona to Bergen Norway and took the Viking add on to Iceland. The ship is fantastic – overall an excellent design, very high tech. There is plenty of space so you never feel crowded. The infinity pool is small, but seemed adequate for the amount of people that used it. State rooms are plenty big enough with quality beds and the best bathrooms of ...
