It was a gift. Every aspect of the cruise was fantastic. The officers were friendly, professional, competent and committed to passenger needs, comfort, & safety, Crew were unfailingly polite, friendly, anf responsive to passenger requests. The ship is fantastic, with more than ample public spaces. Impeccably decorated and at the same time functional. Meals were first rate - in fact, ...

Great ship, but missed ports and botched disembarkation ruined cruise

We chose this cruise to finally visit the African continent. When we booked, Casablanca and Dakar were scheduled ports. A couple of months before embarkation Dakar, Senegal was changed to Cape Verde. We were disappointed because Cape Verde is a very poor replacement port, but Casablanca was still on schedule. Viking booked us on Lufthansa from Chicago-Frankfurt-Barcelona. Warning-Lufthansa ...

The fitness and spa areas were outstanding. The massages were top notch, really could not have been bettter. Egor, from Brazil, is the best. The spa area seemed like a hidden, secret oasis. Very, very nice. Michael, the guitar player was excellent. Comedy/magic show was very good. Speakers did very well - very interesting. The Baggo games, ship building, and trivia competitions were all ...

This cruise was to replace a cruise last December when my friend got covid the 2nd day and we were put off the ship 2 days later in Chile for 7 days of quarantine in a seedy hotel and then flown home. No covid for us this time, but because some passengers tested positive we were not able to stop in Casablanca. Too many people did not wear masks in elevators and on busses. The food was a bit ...

We had previously sailed on 3 Viking river cruises. Our next-door neighbor told us that Viking ocean cruises were the tops in luxury, so we thought we'd take make our first ocean cruise a big one. Thank goodness we purchased the Viking Air as a hurricane was hitting Florida on the day we were supposed to fly out with a connecting flight in Miami. Viking took the initiative and rerouted us ...

Unparalleled luxury, comfort and service in accommodations, dining, and public areas on the Viking Jupiter from Barcelona to Buenos Aires.

We chose this cruise because we wanted a transatlantic crossing on a luxury liner to enjoy sea days and world class ports. The cruise exceeded all of our expectations. We were in a Penthouse Veranda and had ample space to relax, and even to invite new friends over for a cocktail. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were immaculate. We loved the large bathroom, with heated floor, ...

My wife and I chose Viking because it runs smaller ships and after three years without cruising believed this to be a safer option following COVID. This was our first time on Viking after 30+ cruises with other cruise companies. It was probably the worst. We made the decision to sail from Bergen to Montreal and then a second cruise from Montreal to New York 26 days in all. We saw the best and ...

Interested in the destinations and historical background of the region. The ports were interesting, and the guides were knowledgeable and fun. Our guides in the Shetland Islands and Quebec City were outstanding. Wished we could have spent some more time in Iceland, as a one-day stay was less than optimal. Because of weather (Farrow Islands) and a problem with distilling fresh water due to low ...

This was our first Viking Ocean cruise. If it were not for the many wonderful Viking River cruises we've taken, it would likely be our last Viking Ocean cruise. What we liked: The ship is beautiful and very well maintained. The crew is outstanding and service could not be better. It probably helped that we sailed with approximately 50% capacity. What was just OK: The food. ...

Cruising around lower South America from Santiago to Buenos Aires

This was a cruise that included 5 adult family members - all over age 55. My sister suggested South America and we mulled it over and did some research before settling on it. The comfort of the ships, the meals, the entertainment and the excursions were all fine tuned. The staff met our needs before we even new we had them. One of the things I enjoyed most were the speakers on a variety of ...
