I was unsure about taking an ocean cruise after enjoying several river cruises but was not disappointed. The number of passengers never felt crowded. The stewards that cleaned our rooms were thorough and always close by to help or answer any questions. They were friendly and delightful!
The excursion to Vigor Island and the excursion to Sky Lagoon were our favorites. Enjoying the warm ...
This cruise was chosen first because it was a Viking cruise. Our past Viking river cruises were so very positive and enjoyable we wanted to try one of the larger ships. There was no disappointment. We really enjoy the staff throughout the ship. Everyone seemed to be focused on the guest. The ports were very nice and gave us the opportunity to engage the local people and share just a little of ...
We chose this cruise based on the ports of call in Iceland and were not disappointed. Additionally, we accompanied family and friends who had sailed with Viking in the past and strongly encouraged us to book Viking. The Icelandic tour was a relaxing yet meet our inquisitive natures about this country. We could not have been more satisfied. The excursions were well worth the money and provided an ...
We were invited to join friends for a small reunion. Never sailed with Viking before as others in the group had not either. We did discuss how much we were impressed with attention to the smallest detail! The crew was amazing making sure everything was perfect. The offshore excursions included and purchased far met our expectations.
The country was very clean, the people were helpful and ...
My sister-in-law and I both wanted to visit Iceland, but we have very different vacation styles. She is an avid cruiser (though never on Viking before), while I had pretty much sworn them off, preferring land-based, self-guided touring. We both found the Viking cruise description interesting. The itinerary allowed us to visit wonderful ports all around Iceland, and to explore different communities ...
We chose Viking because we feel comfort in knowing we will be taken care of with anything we need while going on an adventure! We have cruised 13 times and this is our fifth cruise with Viking. We have already booked another cruise to the British Iles next summer. Viking’s accommodations and food a superb. The Cruise Director Aven was great! She was full of energy and could alwsys be seen ...
I have been to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland and loved each of them so I wanted to finally see Iceland. It’s an amazing and stunningly beautiful destination. It’s safe, immaculately clean, and has a rich and interesting history, as well as a friendly and congenial population.
Viking did a terrific job - everything was well-organized, the excursions were great, the guides were personable ...
Our group of eight flew into Reykjavik on Icelandair, a day ahead of our embarkation. Our driver, Walter, picked us up at the Keflavik airport and took us to a nearby bakery (our flight arrived at 7:30 a.m.), and then straight to The Blue Lagoon. It was the perfect first stop after our overnight flight. We stayed for about two hours, which was plenty of time to enjoy the amenities, including a ...
Iceland has been on my travel wish list for awhile but the need to drive on possibly dangerous roads deterred me. When I saw the Iceland cruise in the Viking catalog, I knew my trip was about to happen. The voyage starts and ends in Reykjavik, making airlines easy. We circle the island clockwise, stopping in 5 additional ports including 2 in the Arctic Circle. Better yet, my dates included the ...
We travel with a group of neighbors and take a cruise every few years. We've done the Mediterranean, Baltic, European rivers, and Norway previous to this Iceland cruise. Three of our cruises have been with Viking - our preferred cruise line. This Iceland cruise was wonderful! The weather was terrible, but the people and the countryside were fantastic. Although the Viking Star is one of the ...
