This was our first ocean cruise and we could have not selected a better cruise. We hope the ship and spent a lot of our spare time in the pool area, along the walking deck and down by the bar and lounge area. It was our first time as ocean cruisers on Viking with limited experience on one other cruise ship to Alaska, which BTW we did not enjoy. We were interested in sightseeing and learning more about the countries we visited. A variety of lectures and included familiarization tours in each port were great! Wanted to go through the Panama Canal locks without spending too many days at sea. Perfect for experiencing the operation of the locks. Our prior Viking experiences are with the river cruises.
