While on the boat and in the room all is wonderful. Food is fantastic and service wonderful. Purchasing the silver alcohol upgrade isn’t really valuable because half of the waiter/bar staff don’t seem to understand it and even charged me for upgrades beyond having paid for silver . Experienced cruisers on multiple lines over many years, Regent, Oceania, Seabourn, Celebrity, Cunard, Carnival, Royal Carribean, and in our opinion Viking is not good value for money.
Room attendants were excellent. Another postive is that only over 18 allowed on board. Embarkation and disembarkation good. In room TV entertainment good.

This was our first cruise on Viking and to the Mediterranean. We have been on several other cruise lines and all have been good. Viking probably appeals to a 55+ age group so there is not a lot of party, drinking themes in its programs or tours. This was a wonderful trip although I would hesitate to go back during the Christmas/Ephiphany holiday as we lost two stops along the way due to the holiday.
