We wanted to take a cruise and looked first at cruises within the United States but it was actually less expensive to go to Europe with Viking and the airfare was outstanding with Viking taking care of all the details. It was a "no brainer" to us.

We had heard that Viking did a great job on their river cruises. We had tried AMA on the Danube and Uniworld on the Rhine prior to this trip. Viking on the Rhône was just as nice or in some cases even better.
