French Balcony (D) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: August 2018
There was more space in the cabin than on other cruises we have experienced. The attendant thoroughly cleaned each day and saw to our needs.

Wonderful bed; grand waterside view; spacious bathroom; terrific service; a tad noisy as it was next to the engines, but this was never more than a minor distraction.

The cabin was a French Balcony which means it did not have a balcony on a sliding door that we could open and lean on a handrail to view the scenery. My wife and I both felt this was totally adequate. We spent most of our time in the common areas and if we were travelling through areas of interest we wanted to see both sides of the river so we didn't want to be in the cabin anyway. The size of the cabin was acceptable. I would add we met another couple who had a balcony room. They were unhappy because they said they paid extra for the balcony, but it seemed when they were in port the other ships docked next to the Bragi kept them from using their balcony. Read Less

Incredibly efficient but accessible use of space. Always hot water for the shower. TV not used so much, too much else to occupy us.

Cabin staff were great and the roomed was always promptly cleaned and made up - as mentioned above, the French Balcony cabins are tiny - don't plan to spend much time there
