French Balcony Stateroom (D) Cabin Reviews

Great Cruise. : Cabin 230

OK. It is a tight fir. I'm used to balcony suites on Princess & Holland for a lot less money, but a much larger cabin.

The cabin is comparable to other Viking boats and other companies in terms of size. The logic of layout is excellent and, compared to an Amawaterways Christina boat, we felt that the room had more usable space. The addition of 110 volt outlets in the Viking boat is such a small thing but eliminates the need for transformers or provides an additional outlet for us Americans. The bathroom floor is an attractive material looking like wood but is not slippery when wet as is the case with many tiled floors. We have sailed on a number of other Viking boats and this room is like the similar category on other viking boats. On out 6 Viking River cruises, we have been impressed by the hard working and friendly staff that serve us. Read Less

Tiny for 2 singles, but well designed. Loved having the floor to ceiling sliding glass door so you could always have visuals of the river and sights, and could open door to feel the air. Staff very attentive.

Best cruise ever : Cabin 234
Sail Date: October 2016
Our cabin was small but plenty large enough for the time we spent there. There were many "hidden" places to store things so that gave us plenty of room. We had the full window on the side and there view was delightful.

Touring the Elbe. : Cabin 205
Sail Date: October 2015
Although we had booked for a Standard cabin, we found that Viking had upgraded us to a Veranda cabin. The cabin was quite comfortable and (obviously) efficient. Cabin housekeeping also was excellent. Again, thank-you Viking.
