Outside Twin with Balcony and Shower Cabin Reviews
C deck cabin, so has double sized balcony. Kept clean and tidy by our friendly steward. Carpet could do with a deep clean or replacing, nothing nasty, just 8 years of wear and tear is showing. Read entire member review >>
Very clean but with a few signs of wear. Cabin was spacious and nicely laid out. Bed was very comfortable. Air-con worked perfectly. The fridge didn't seem to work and the TV was frustratingly slow to respond.
Very quiet. No noise issues at all. Read entire member review >>
Good décor with reasonable space. Wardrobe space was adequate. Balcony was good with plenty of space. Shower room was OK . The only problem was the toilet as is not abnormal on ships with the vacuum system had a tendency to block but service in unblocking was quick. Stewardess was excellent and dealt with any problems and requests quickly and efficiently. Read entire member review >>
Cabin clean and well serviced. Wardrobe space adequate. Shower room Ok but like most ships vacuum toilets prone to the occasional blockage but service in clearing was good. Balcony again good with plenty of space. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was great. We were on C deck, port side forward. We really liked the interactive TV which was useful for keeping tabs on the bill as well as ordering room service (although range of items on room service through the TV was very small). Room service tended to be quite slow, usually waiting upto an hour for anything to arrive although as I said we waited three hours for ice on the first day. Our cabin steward, Liza, was very friendly and helpful. She kept the cabin tidy and well stocked with tea, coffee and lemon slices although we were told that they didn’t have any lemon & ginger teabags which was strange because these are specifically mentioned on the P&O website. If I’m being really picky it would have been nice to have been given an ice bucket every day as we called room service every day to have one so it would have been nice if that had ‘just happened’ rather than calling and waiting for room service every time. My cabin was HE grade on deck 11, this was a pleasantly sized cabin with balcony. In cabin Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. An in rooom safe is available to use free of charge. There is an interactive TV which provides updates on your onboard account, two news channels, updates on the ships progress and weather. Films are available on demand, these are charged at £1.99 each. As with most cruise lines, cabins are serviced twice daily by a cabin Steward. I have seen other reviewers write of small showers on other ships, a sentiment my experience has not reflected. I am a slim 68kg (10stone in old money) and I have to admit that the shower aboard Ventura was a very cramped enclosure. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was starboard, mid ships , we were upgraded so not sure what category we ended up with. ( we were on a saver fare ) As we were on C deck ( 10) our balcony was larger than most . The cabin was very comfortable with tea / coffee facilities and TV . The wardrobe was a large , walk in type with plenty of hangers . There were also shelves in the cupboard holding the safe , plus bedside drawers and dressing table cupboard holding tge hairdryer. The shower room , although small , was adequate and always had hit water . Towels were changed regularly by our lovely steward Remy , who looked after us very well. Read entire member review >>
Ventura B431 - Balcony cabin (standard) - starboard side. Not over looked, but overlooks C431 and D431 and others. One can become inadvertently very nosy at times !!! Good size walk in wardrobe and plenty of shelf and drawer space. Nice size TV. Usual smallish bathroom and shower but perfectly adequate. This cabin is right beside the mid ships stair well and scenic lifts. You can hear people coming and going until quite late but it is never loud enough to be an inconvenience. being mid ships half way up, there is no vibration from propellorts, no engine noise or shudder, so all in all a good cabin. Balcony was good as it was twice the depth of any other deck Cabin was fine except it was opposite a crew service door which could be noisy with trolleys etc being trundled through and the door allowed to close noisily. Their was also a Laundry room close by which didn't inconnvenience us at all where we thought this might have created some noise, it didn't. Read entire member review >>
Towards the front of ship and felt more movement than in the middle of the ship but this was quite pleasant when sleeping and relaxing. Cabin very good size with separate dressing area and a good size balcony. Read entire member review >>
Convenient to aft lifts, great balcony (double depth), walk-in wardrobe, shower only no bath, across from crew room service access but wasn't noisy, does smell of food at times but only when not sailing must be close to a kitchen vent Read entire member review >>
