We've sailed with P&O many times, first sailing with them back in 2011. This was the first time we were going to receive 'priority' boarding, however our embarkation time was delayed due to the requirement for the ship to be deep cleaned after a gastro intestinal disease outbreak. We arrived on time for our delayed embarkation and waited two hours outside before we were let into the terminal. We ...
Having cruised many times ith P&O we were appalled at the fall in standards. The quality, eating habits, behaviour and particularly the dress of many passengers was dreadful. On ' strictly' formal nights, passengers were allowed into the Cinnamon Restaurant iny any old attire, One man, jacketless was allowed in in just a shirt and trousers. It was even worse in the Waterside self service ...
We have been on several cruises with P&O on ships Azura, Britannia, Arcadia & Aurora and this was our first cruise on the Ventura.
I will start with the nice things first The food and staff in the Epicurian, Beach House and Glasshouse was excellent but you paid extra for this service. Reception, the Butler and Cabin steward also did an excellent job.
But this was our worst ever cruise it ...
It has takem me until now to write this critique because I came back so angry and disappointed : we have been cruising with P and O and princess ships for 12 years or more including the Ventura : NEVER WITH P and O again!!
canaries was on my bucket list for my 70th brthday gift

Well that is us ashore and making our way home from Ventura. We had an amazing holiday, met great people, and stunning port calls. Value for money was excellent but where do you start with Ventura? She is clearly a Marmite ship with many loyal followers which is good, however and for us we was not impressed at all. Cleanliness is well well below acceptable standards never mind what you expect ...
We returned from this 14 night Canaries cruise on 1st October. It was truly awful.
We travelled to Southampton by coach with Intercruises. What a shambles. Coaches were pulling into Trowell services with no indication where they were going. We asked one coach driver if he knew when the coach for Ventura was expected to which he rudely replied that he wasn’t on duty. Eventually two arrived late, ...
First cruise post pandemic after 20 years of cruising with P&O. Standards dropped considerably. Food in restaurants poor with menu choices cut. Self service cafeteria choices cut. Often food was cold, and for some reason you had to ask every day for marmalade at breakfast. Sometimes you were told there was non on board and had to insist on being given some.
Booked glasshouse for family ...
Chose this cruise for a first time cruise. Brochure made it look very nice.
We would not recommend this cruise
Too many people, not enough space or things to do - just cramped. Everywhere busy, queues and everything expensive. Queues to get on and off ship (one day 90 minutes waiting in the rain to get back on ship).
Cabins small and basic. Nothing grand. Nothing like photos in brochure. ...
this was my first and last cruise with p and o drinks very expensive the draft beer tasted discusting this was like butlins at sea and the bars and public areas were uncomfatable
i bought a pint of peronni and it tasted like dish water

We choose this cruise, because of the Itinerary? I can’t fly, we have been on 8 previous cruises, once before on the Ventura, we vowed not to go with P&O again,? But the itinerary swayed us? Let me start with the main problem??? If you board the Ventura and they give you room C403? RUN!! Do not take it!! It’s by the lift shaft,? And all through the night, we were kept awake by a constant, very ...
