My husband and I chose this cruise for our honeymoon. We love history and we love activities, we typically can't sit still for too long. We both have never been to Italy or Croatia. We are so glad we chose Viking, it was a great way to see a lot of different cities in a short amount of time. The excursions were easy to book and the guides, drivers and staff were fantastic. Everything was so well ...

Excellent Journey to Italy

I chose this cruise because going to Italy was on my "bucket list" and being of Italian descent, I wanted to see this beautiful country. The Italian Sojourn itinerary allowed me to visit several areas of interest in a short period of time. I was unaware that this was the second leg of a 3-week journey and the third leg, which ends in Barcelona, also visits additional ports in Italy. Had I ...

This was to be our 25 year wedding anniversary trip in 2020. Then COVID happened so Viking rescheduled twice and we delayed another year to be back to as close to “normal” no masks or daily testing, as possible. We had a wonderful time. Over the delays we upgraded our room each time so we’re blessed to have Jr suite. It was so nice and comfortable. Our room stewards were fantastic. Having ...

So glad that we booked this cruise!! Staff was welcoming and wonderful! Impressed by the size of the bathroom in our cabin! Cabin was very comfortable. Of course, we were not in our cabin much! Viking is so organized! Embarking was so easy and a pleasure. Food options were good. So nice to be on a small cruise that didn’t have screaming children! We were the younger of the cruisers, but enjoyed ...

A change in Airlines on the first day of travel created issues that would adversely impact the start of our vacation. We could not wait to visit Venice. However, the weather would not co-operate. Star departed 1 day early as a consequence our luggage missed the ship's movement. Clothing caught up with us the afternoon of the port visit in Bari 4 days later. Welcome Star's customer service and ...

We have been on 3 Viking River Cruises and they were fabulous. I had so hoped Viking could recreate this magic on their ocean cruises. I have to say I was slightly disappointed. On the river cruises Viking has thought of every detail, but this does not always translate to the ocean experience. For example, we had 150 people arrive at a small town at the same time. With 4 buses it would have ...

First time on Viking and now I have no choice but to only use them. Have cruised on three other lines but once you go Viking it sets a standard that can't be matched. The ship, rooms, staff, food, drinks, etc., etc. are such a step above anyone else we have been with. It seemed like everyone of the staff knew are first names within 24 hours on being on board. I was especially impressed with ...

We chose this cruise because of the range of countries, ports and variety of excursions offered. We loved Croatia, a country we might never otherwise have seen. Corfu was beautifully exotic. In Naples we toured Herculaneum rather than Pompeii and were surprised how immersive the tour was, being able to walk through the buildings and get up close to the frescoes, even walking on the original ...

Viking Star was the second cruise out of a 4 cruise itinerary. I wasn’t sure it would be our style but we loved it from the first moment on board. We felt so loved and welcomed. The entire crew and staff were visible all the time with a cool towel and drink after returning from side tours. The food was very good but not as good as QM2. Room service was great! Explorer Lounge was our spot for after ...

Our first cruise we decided to choose Viking. Smaller ships, less likely to have children and more people our own age. We are not explorers so we wanted to choose the best atmosphere for us. Viking gave us great options. Excursions to choose from were awesome. We enjoyed everyone of them. Free and the ones we had to pay for. I would recommend investigating and researching ahead of time as there ...
