This was to be our 25 year wedding anniversary trip in 2020. Then COVID happened so Viking rescheduled twice and we delayed another year to be back to as close to “normal” no masks or daily testing, as possible. We had a wonderful time. Over the delays we upgraded our room each time so we’re blessed to have Jr suite. It was so nice and comfortable. Our room stewards were fantastic. Having ...

So glad that we booked this cruise!! Staff was welcoming and wonderful! Impressed by the size of the bathroom in our cabin! Cabin was very comfortable. Of course, we were not in our cabin much! Viking is so organized! Embarking was so easy and a pleasure. Food options were good. So nice to be on a small cruise that didn’t have screaming children! We were the younger of the cruisers, but enjoyed ...

A change in Airlines on the first day of travel created issues that would adversely impact the start of our vacation. We could not wait to visit Venice. However, the weather would not co-operate. Star departed 1 day early as a consequence our luggage missed the ship's movement. Clothing caught up with us the afternoon of the port visit in Bari 4 days later. Welcome Star's customer service and ...

I chose this cruise because going to Italy was on my "bucket list" and being of Italian descent, I wanted to see this beautiful country. The Italian Sojourn itinerary allowed me to visit several areas of interest in a short period of time. I was unaware that this was the second leg of a 3-week journey and the third leg, which ends in Barcelona, also visits additional ports in Italy. Had I ...

My husband and I chose this cruise for our honeymoon. We love history and we love activities, we typically can't sit still for too long. We both have never been to Italy or Croatia. We are so glad we chose Viking, it was a great way to see a lot of different cities in a short amount of time. The excursions were easy to book and the guides, drivers and staff were fantastic. Everything was so well ...

We have been on 3 Viking River Cruises and they were fabulous. I had so hoped Viking could recreate this magic on their ocean cruises. I have to say I was slightly disappointed. On the river cruises Viking has thought of every detail, but this does not always translate to the ocean experience. For example, we had 150 people arrive at a small town at the same time. With 4 buses it would have ...

The ship was beautiful, very spacious, never felt crowded. Enjoyed most of the tours immensely. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive.

This cruise was going to places I was very much wanting to visit. The overall experience was excellent. One issue I have is that I called Viking multiple times to ask about Covid vaccine requirement and was told absolutely we must be vaccinated, it is also on their website. We spent a total of 12 hours driving back and forth to get a NON MRNA vaccine from the company Novavax. When we arrived ...

This was our second Viking cruise, but our first Viking Ocean cruise. We have also gone on several cruises on larger ships with other companies. We certainly enjoy the smaller Viking ships. This itinerary was perfect for us, starting in Venice, with stops in Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, and Olympia, before ending in Athens. Each stop was unique with interesting, informative, and well-organized ...

The ship was very comfortable, perfect size. Service was wonderful, excursions were very informative. We did our air through Viking which was helpful all except making a change of planes in Frankfurt. We were very rushed and just made it to our connection when they were boarding. I would avoid that airport in the future. Embarkation and Disembarkation went very smoothly. Transfers to and from ...

Ionian Coast Introduction

Second time with Viking, first time on one of their ocean cruises. We were part of a group of 22 that go on a "big trip" every two years. After a successful 15-day Viking river cruise, we decided to do a Viking ocean cruise in an area that most of us had never been. We started in Venice, had four stops down the Ionian Coast ending with various stops in Greece. Dining was really nice. ...
