First Viking Cruise was a Stunner

We had heard about Viking from several friends. This was our first time and we were blown away. The ship was beautiful, with modern, clean lines, beautiful woods, large windows and comfortable seating. The sweeping windows in the Explorer Lounge were dramatic. Everything was so well thought out. For example, books were located in several places around the ship (rather than in an library) so it was ...

We chose this cruise because we toured Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Venice prior to sailing. This cruise enabled us to see more of southern Italy and relax on the second half of the trip. Food was great, only had one off meal. The steak was chewy but the waiter was more than happy to replace with a different entree. Room service for breakfast every morning was on time, hot and delivered right to ...

We very much enjoyed the educational material, talks, guides and information. Next, we enjoyed that there were no kids running around. The food was excellent, especially the local food as we visited various cities. The ship was not crowded and seemed like we had sections of the ship to ourselves. The excursions were the right length, not to short or too long. We went on several additional ...

My husband selected this cruise prior to COVID so it was a long-awaited trip. The whole experience was exceptional! The ship is well-maintained, clean and provides a number of areas to enjoy the trip and the vistas. You don't feel like you are traveling with 900 + other passengers. The service and staff are friendly and meet your every need, without bothering you. We started going to the Living ...

My wife and I had a major Viking cruise credit left from the pandemic in 2020. As we did not wish to lose the major dollars in our account, we chose a cruise really based on using up the dollar balance, as Viking would not let us sail on multiple cruises leaving us with a zero balance. Initially, we boarded the Viking Sky and yes, the ship is clean as any cruise ship we have sailed on. We ...

The ship is tremendous - beautifully designed, elegant and very comforatable. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable as well. Excursions are wonderful and professionally done.

We had never been to Adriatic and Agean Seas before and felt this was an excellent itinerary at a reasonable price. It stopped in all the places we wanted to visit and the few places we had seen before they offered very good excursions that we had never see before. The food variety was superb and the specialty restaurants were as good as some 5-star restaurants we have been to. The various ...

This was to be our 25 year wedding anniversary trip in 2020. Then COVID happened so Viking rescheduled twice and we delayed another year to be back to as close to “normal” no masks or daily testing, as possible. We had a wonderful time. Over the delays we upgraded our room each time so we’re blessed to have Jr suite. It was so nice and comfortable. Our room stewards were fantastic. Having ...

So glad that we booked this cruise!! Staff was welcoming and wonderful! Impressed by the size of the bathroom in our cabin! Cabin was very comfortable. Of course, we were not in our cabin much! Viking is so organized! Embarking was so easy and a pleasure. Food options were good. So nice to be on a small cruise that didn’t have screaming children! We were the younger of the cruisers, but enjoyed ...

A change in Airlines on the first day of travel created issues that would adversely impact the start of our vacation. We could not wait to visit Venice. However, the weather would not co-operate. Star departed 1 day early as a consequence our luggage missed the ship's movement. Clothing caught up with us the afternoon of the port visit in Bari 4 days later. Welcome Star's customer service and ...

Excellent Journey to Italy

I chose this cruise because going to Italy was on my "bucket list" and being of Italian descent, I wanted to see this beautiful country. The Italian Sojourn itinerary allowed me to visit several areas of interest in a short period of time. I was unaware that this was the second leg of a 3-week journey and the third leg, which ends in Barcelona, also visits additional ports in Italy. Had I ...
