Poor customer service information we were due to start sailing from Venice on 23rd of November 2019, instead we were put on a coach travelled 2.5 hours to Trieste without prior notices Buffet restaurant not enough capabilities so often have to queue for sitting at breakfast and at lunch. Choice of food poor and not nicely cooked. The buffet restaurant is cramped and if wanted omelette one needs ...

Money Grabbing Rip Off Merchants

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Deliziosa

What an absolute rip off this cruise ship is! Service Gratuity is Mandatory and not disclosed upfront. We left with a £150 Service Charge bill after a 5 night cruise. The onboard photographers are rip off salesmen! When we asked for discount on a large order we were told by the manager to quote "If you want memories of your children you have to pay for them" The bars only use bottled Pepsi ...

Great Cruise across the Atlantic

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Sky

Viking has the reputation of providing one of the best values in Ocean Cruising and on a recommendation from a friend I took the plunge. My wife and I have cruised a number of times and usual use Celebrity and enjoyed our cruises with them. The one downside to the major cruise lines is that you get nickel and dimed to death. Alternative restaurants are are not included in the listed prices and ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Seaside

It was a maiden voyage. However, everything was terrible. They don’t care about Americans. TV for 21 days every language but English. Closet door fell off twice. Evevators always not working. Shows were repeats and they wouldn’t let you see it twice. No activities to do. Food was TERRIBLE both in dining room and buffet. Buffet was closed most of the time and the and the water or juice machine was ...

Choppy design, not prepared for maiden voyage

I looked forward to the maiden voyage on a new ship and we love the transatlantic itinerary, MSC handled the change in starting point from Venice to Trieste very well. The crew did not seem adequately familiar with the ship and we went thru 4 different waiters in four days in the dining room. The cabin was tiny for a "mini suite" and there was very limited storage space. The pool and water ...

Worst experience ever on a cruise (was actually 21 day)

Have been on 17 cruises with 7 different cruise lines Embarkation: Spouse required wheelchair assistance. Had to wait for a long time before we received the assistance, then only taken to ramp to get on ship. We embarked after the mandatory safety drill. After we took showers & dressed the next morning I opened the door at 9:45, to find a note that the safety drill for those who missed ...

We wished to do a Transatlantic with interesting stops rather than an A . B We were happy to go on the Deliziosa as we were satisfied with our 2 previous cruises After reading the Carnival annual report for 2016 some of the sub standard services on this cruise were inevitable The company is cutting costs to maintain profitability. The embarkation in Venice was the usual Costa shambles ...

Comments also posted on TripAdvisor. This was the second transatlantic cruise for us. This time from Venice to Fort Lauderdale. Last year we crossed the Atlantic on the Costa Favolosa from Savona to Guadaloupe. Both crossings were, for us, very good and fulfilled almost all our expectations. Embarked in Venice on a cold, rainy day. Took a water taxi from our hotel directly to the ship. ...

Good overall, but some issues

Cruised from Venice to Rio over a 3 week period. Had been to most of European ports before, but chose this cruise for the stops in Brazil. Unfortunately had to miss Fortaleza due to strong winds, and it rained most of day in Buzios. Overall we liked the ship having a comfortable balcony cabin, although the wardrobe space was a bit small. The ship was in good condition, but there were some ...

A great disappointment

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Poesia

The food in both the buffet and the dining rooms was marginal. The entertainment especially the guest entertainers were terrible with the exception of Guillermo Guido. The disembarkation in Buenos Aires was a disaster. People were pushing others out of the way, ramming others with their suitcases and cart . No direction from management. It took four hours to get off ship. The excursions with the ...
