We flew into Venice a couple days earlier. We loved Venice. We walked and walked and got lost a bunch of times. Our hotel, Hotel Antiche Figure was excellent! Embarkation We paid a foot taxi to lug our bags to the port from our hotel (it would have been impossible for us to do because of all the bridges) while we walked alongside him. $15 per bag - well worth the $30! There is a vodofone right ...

I will try to make this short, but I can see already it won't be. I do not want to waste more time on Princes so there may be some dyslexic spelling and some short form sentences below. My English teacher may not be happy. I will start by saying this is my first cruise but have travelled well in North America, all the Southern islands, and this was my honeymoon. The Decor and room. I ...

Ruby Princess R223 Grand Mediterranean 12 day cruise Embarked in Venice at tea time after a day's travelling. No queues to check in and quickly arrived at our cabin. Rod, our steward came to see us immediately and welcomed us warmly telling us to let him know if there was anything we required and he would organise this. I asked for a couple of bathrobes, a daily supply of ice, and any 'to ...

Med. Cruise 9/25-10/7-AWESOME! After months of research and some anxiety we sailed away on Sept. 25th out of Venice. The sky was a beautiful blue, temp was in the 70s, Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli were singing, and we were finally departing on our dream cruise through the Mediterranean. I felt if we were in the video for PBS visions of Italy. PreCruise We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn ...

We are a couple in our late 50's who traveled to meet our daughter ( who resides in Vietnam) half way around the world ( Venice) to celebrate her birthday, take our first ever cruise ( hers too) and enjoy the Greek Isles and the Mediterranean. She has always wanted to see the Greek Isles and it has also been a dream of mine. My hubby as he says came along for the ride. And what a ride. We flew the ...

We have just arrived home from our Grand Mediterranean Cruise on Ruby Princess and I am eager to write this review before I forget details! From the minute we boarded in Venice, to the time we disembarked in Barcelona, we were treated with consistent, friendly, professional hospitality. Embarkation was a breeze - we were through the line and in our cabin in about 15 minutes. Cabin: ...

I chose this cruise because of their ports of call. Istanbul and Athens are always a good option. I have cruised before with Princess and know the drill. Big crowded ships. I traveled with my wife and teen (16) boy. We found this cruise to be very familiar and full of activities. We flew Atlanta Venice on Delta. Old Boeing 767 crowded airplane. Multimedia did not work but since it was an ...

We've traveled on Princess many times but have never experiences such great and awful service in a single cruise. High points: Chef's Table: Fantastic and feel honored to have been selected. The food and wine just kept coming with the Maitre D' and Chef being such wonderful hosts. Being recognized by a bartender who was on the Diamond during last year's ...

Arrived in Venice on May 28th and embarkation went smoothly and quickly. Our cabin steward was the very best. He anticipated our every need. The balcony was large with 4 lounge chairs, but the room seemed small compared to other cruise lines in same category. The bathroom was a closet, hardly enough room to turn around in. We had anytime dining and the first night set the mood for the rest ...
