1/2 cruise was better than no cruise at all!

OK, so we broke down 1/2 way thru the trip. I would still get back on and do it all over again! I feel I have been on enough cruises to give you a realistic view of this ship and what to expect. The ship, being brand new is everything and more than you would expect. The Piazza is beautiful and SO much larger than all the rest of the ships. Entertainment in the Princess Theater was good, not great. ...

Although our cruise was shortened due to a mechanical issue, our time on the Royal Princess was incredible. I cannot say enough about the staff, they were personable, entertaining, knowledgable and had a complete understanding of what "customer service" is, and how service can make or break a persons vacation. Food We made it our mission not to over- eat as it is easy to do on cruise ships. We ...

This was our first cruise with Princess, Royal Princess, 9/15/13. As the saying goes: 'You only get one chance to make a first impression'. We were not impressed. In no particular order, here's why: 1. Cabin size ' it's the smallest cabin we've ever been in. Balcony cabin on deck 14 (Riviera). Tiny and crammed with furniture. We stuffed a chair and table in a corner of the 'closet' so we could ...

We were on the Royal Princess September 15th for 12 days from Venice to Barcelona. We flew into Venice, arriving at 6:30 pm. Princess was there for our transfer from the airport with no problems at all.The embarkation was a breeze. We went to dinner and really felt happy to be aboard this lovely new ship. It was truly a beautiful, massive ship with such splendor. We have been aboard the other ...

For a variety of reasons, we had no intention of going on any kind of a holiday this year. However, towards the end of May an email offer from Princess popped up that seemed too good to be true. My husband took a look at it and said we'd be idiots not to check this offer out further...so we did and we booked on the Royal Princess. It was only after we booked that I dug up my old user ID on Cruise ...

Royal Princess was great for a new ship overall. While you can take apart the ship you go home with your overall experience, which for us was great. The trip was about the ports and not necessarily the ship. We had the best cabin on the ship. Best dollar for value, largest balcony on the seas, and a super layout that was premium for dollar spent. Having spent over a year in preparation for the ...

The 10 black spots while cruising on the “magnificent Royal Princess”: 1. The TV system : a. Increases the expectations i. A superb Offer ii. A user friendly system b. But fails to deliver the basics i. Keeps rebooting ii. The image freezes iii. No maintenance available by night iv. Access to the cables are very tight • By disconnecting the Rj45 sometimes the reset ...

We loved our cruise on the Royal Princess. We were a little concerned because of previous reviews, but it was a wonderful experience. The embarkation and disembarkation was organized and efficient as usual on Princess. The ship is beautiful and the food and service was outstanding. With over 3900 passengers on board, we could always find a seat quickly by the buffets and the buffets are so ...

My wife and I booked the 7 night Swiss land tour prior to joining the Royal princess. Though the days were very hectic on both the land and cruise portions of this trip, we were please with all the site we were able to see. As for the ship: Food, my wife thought this was the best dinning food she has ever had on a cruise. I felt it was as least equal or slightly better than any of the dinning ...

Disappointed with the Royal and Princess

I have cruised with Princess 10 times to many different ports, but this was our first Grand Mediterranean. I enjoyed the itinerary and excursions. Although some excursions were very pricey, we stayed with ship recommended trips because we are new to this area. The captain issued a letter the day before Istanbul to assure us our safety was number one and we should stay with our excursions and away ...
