EMBARKATION: Finally got to the port and were frustrated by the confusion and inefficiency: though several RCL folks held up signs that pointed us in the terminal direction, they were too busy chatting with one another to advise us that the luggage had to be left off at a totally different building (which we had passed by already), so up the escalator, down the escalator, stand in some more lines ...
So, the long awaited Venice cruise happened and Venice wasn't the highlight !
Flew into Marco Polo airport and had no problems finding the RCI staff who escorted us to the waiting coach and off we went.
EMBARKATION : A bit of a scrum but was OK, no problems. We boarded just after noon I think and the cabins weren't quite ready so we headed off for some lunch.
CABIN : We pretty much ...
My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. After a great deal of research on different destinations and cruiselines, we finally decided on the Western Mediterranean and RCCL. We have sailed RCCL before and really enjoyed it, but never on the Voyager of the Seas. The ship was very well taken care of, and the service was spectacular. Our waiter and assistant waiter ...
Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise after the total nightmare of booking onto the ship. The Royal Caribbean Rep. at Venice airport didn't know her left from her right and sent us to the wrong area at first but we eventually found our transfer coach amongst total chaos. When we arrived at the Port the experience was no better, it was again total chaos which didn't improve until we actually got to the ...
We were just on the Voyager of the Seas' seven night Adriatic Cruise. Ports were Venice, Koper, Ravenna, Bari, and Dubrovnik.
STATEROOM: Grand Suite, worth every penny! The room was very spacious with plenty of closet space. The bathroom had two double sinks and the tub had two retractable wash lines for hanging up laundry. (We traveled with carry-on luggage only so yes, I did have to do a ...
This really was a lovely cruise. the itinerary was excellent as all the ports were interesting and there was plenty to learn and to do in each one. This was helped by having wonderful weather except for the last day in Venice.
The ship i now about 12 years old but still looked lovely to me. My cabin was in very good condition, in fact, they changed the furniture during the course of the ...
The ship was very impressive our room was larger than on other cruises we were on. we had a room with a Balcony which was a big plus. Even the bathroom wasn't a bad size. The food in the main restaurant in the evening was good but in the buffet one it was alway cold and the same menu every day no variety.
The ports of calls were not great really enjoyed Kopei and Dubrovnik but should have ...
We were cruising to celebrate my wife's 50th anniversary. We visited Venice in 1999 and have wanted to return, and were on the Voyager in 2005, so this sailing, which included my wife's birthday, was exactly what we were looking for. Our dinner companions were lovely (from Houston and from Wales), the staff was extremely polished, pleasant and always helpful. As Americans, we were in an extreme ...
The cabin we had on voyager of the seas was nice but strangely the bed was head to the window where there was no headboard so the pillow would just fall down the back as there was a gap , I turned the bed around which meant the lights were in the wrong place but we could at least sit up in bed and look out the window , and not lose our pillows at night.
Fridge didn't work , but to be fair ...
Just returned from the Adriatic Sea cruise and thought I would pass along some information which may be of use. In my opinion this was a much more enjoyable cruise than I was expecting, and great value for the money spent.
Voyager of the Seas - I didn't think I would like a large ship such as this but I found it had the feel of a much smaller ship. The balcony cabin seem a bit smaller to me ...
